2026 Dynastar M-Cross 82 Skis
SKU DAOX603Built for skiers who spend most of their time on trail but want a shape with personality, the Dynastar M-Cross 82 is a frontside-leaning all-mountain ski. It combines a hybrid wood and polyurethane core with a central titanal layer and a wide-shovel, narrow-tail shape for quick, eager turn initiation. The result is an agile ski that loves short and medium carves while staying smooth and forgiving. For a do-it-most groomer ski with a fun streak, it covers a lot of ground.
Why we like it:
The wide shovel paired with a narrower, almost pin-tail shape is what gives this ski its character, making it eager to turn and easy to release out of the back. We also like the central titanal layer, which adds just enough damping to settle the ride without making the ski feel heavy or demanding.
Who it's for:
This is a ski for intermediate to expert skiers who do most of their skiing on groomers and want a quick, lively carver with a touch of all-mountain range. It suits skiers who like short to medium turns and a playful, agile feel underfoot. Anyone who appreciates a ski that is fun in the bumps and trees as well as on the corduroy will enjoy it.
Highlights:
The shape is the M-Cross 82's calling card, with a notably wide shovel feeding into an 82 mm waist and a tapered tail that gives it a go-anywhere-you-point-it feel. Dynastar's Hybrid Core 2.0 blends poplar wood with polyurethane for a light but damp ride, and a central titanal layer absorbs vibration while transferring power cleanly to the edge. Full sidewall construction from tip to tail maximizes grip and precision, and the directional rocker profile keeps turn initiation fast and easy.
Things to consider:
With an 82 mm waist and a frontside bias, the M-Cross 82 isn't built for deep powder or heavy off-trail charging, and very aggressive skiers may want more dampening at top speed than the hybrid core provides. Its happy place is short-to-medium turns, so dedicated long-radius speed hounds might find it eager to come around. The wider M-Cross 88 sits above it in the line for more all-mountain platform.
Fit & sizing considerations:
Sizes true to length. The directional shape and modest rocker mean most skiers can stick with their usual all-mountain length. Drop a length for even quicker edge-to-edge handling in tight terrain, or bump up for added stability when you open up the turns.
