DESCRIPTION

The 2026 Nordica Steadfast 85 DC with TPX 12 bindings is a powerful yet approachable all-mountain ski that blends precision and energy with a friendly and accessible feel. With an 85 mm waist and a construction rooted in stability and smoothness, the Steadfast 85 delivers confident performance across groomed terrain and variable conditions alike, making it a reliable daily driver for a wide range of skiers.

Why we like it:

It’s one of the most versatile skis in Nordica’s lineup, and is powerful when you need it, forgiving when you don’t, and capable of adapting to everything from firm groomers to early morning chop.

Who it's for:

Advanced skiers who want a ski that holds its own on trail but doesn’t get knocked around in mixed snow. Ideal for those who value stability and edge grip, but still want something light and maneuverable enough for all-day use.

Highlights:

The Double Core (DC) construction sandwiches an elastomer Pulse Core between two wood layers, offering excellent damping and vibration control without adding unnecessary weight. This results in a ski that feels quiet and composed underfoot, even when the terrain gets rough. An 85 mm waist strikes a balance between quick edge-to-edge transitions and all-mountain capability, while subtle tip rocker provides ease of initiation and versatility in off-trail or changing snow.

Things to consider:

Though capable in mixed conditions, the Steadfast 85 is still on the narrow side for deep snow or more surfy, off-piste applications. Skiers who prefer a playful, loose feel may find it a bit too directional. And while it may be accessible for some advancing intermediates, it still benefits most from confident technique and an engaged skiing style.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Skis true to size. If you want quicker maneuverability and responsiveness, especially in tighter terrain, sizing down slightly is a great option. Stick with your standard length if edge hold and stability are your top priorities.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?
Really poppy ski. Ready to jump into the next turn, and really come out with energy. Good edge hold.
For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?
All mountain frontside terrain seems like, groomers are the ideal playground, but doesn’t feel like it would punish you in soft bumps during spring time laps.
What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?
Intermediate to expert.
Anything else you want to tell us about your experience on these skis?
