2027 Salomon Stance Pro 86 Skiswith Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings

The 2027 Salomon Stance Pro 86 with Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings brings high-end carving precision and surprising versatility to the frontside all-mountain category. With an 86 mm waist, full camber, and directional shape, this ski is built for strong turns and firm snow performance, while still handling variable conditions with ease. It’s smooth, fast, and impressively composed, striking the right balance for skiers who demand power and control without the race-ski harshness. We paired the Stance Pro 86 with the Tyrolia Attack 14 GW because of the Attack’s light weight, reliability, and ease-of-use for all mountain and freeride skiers. Additionally, ample elastic travel and direct power transmission function to ensure these bindings cater perfectly to the needs of demanding freeriders.

Why we like it:

This ski threads the needle between all-day accessibility and top-tier edge hold. Whether you’re charging groomers or threading through mixed terrain, the Stance Pro 86 delivers stability, energy, and confidence with a planted feel that punches above its weight class.

Who it's for:

Intermediate to expert skiers who prioritize carving performance and firm-snow grip, but also want a ski that won’t flinch in mixed or choppier terrain. Particularly well-suited for Eastern skiers and those who spend most of their time on-piste.

Highlights:

Under the hood, the Stance Pro 86 features a full poplar wood core for consistent flex and responsiveness. A Powerflex Ti laminate provides the torsional stiffness and damping necessary for edge grip at speed, while rocker in the tip and tail improves maneuverability and ease of entry into turns. Wide steel edges enhance durability for aggressive skiing, and a mid-range turn radius (15–17 meters depending on length) supports both snappy and sweeping arcs. With a low stand height of just 17 millimeters, the 2027 Tyrolia Attack 14 offers an impressively close connection to the snow, delivering precise power transmission and a confident, locked-in feel. The FR Pro3 toe piece allows for a full 180 degrees of boot release, enhancing safety in a variety of fall scenarios, while the AFS (Anti-Friction Slider) ensures reliable re-centering and consistent release characteristics. Built to withstand hard use, the Attack 14 combines durability with performance, making it a go-to option for aggressive skiers who demand trust in their gear.

Things to consider:

This ski thrives with good input—technique matters. Skiers seeking a more playful or off-piste-oriented feel may want a more rockered or softer-flexing ski. If you love edge angles and speed, this ski’s for you.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Skis true to size. For quicker edge transitions or tighter spaces, you can size down slightly without losing performance. Stick with your standard length for stability and high-speed grip.
