What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

I have been a HUGE fan of the previous Declivity 92 Ti, and the Antimatter is more similar than it is different. Just a little less metal with the Antimatter. Having slightly less metal made the tips more forgiving and easier to hook up which made them more turny and dynamic. This thing is just so versatile and intuitive. Want to go slow and make skidded turns, go right ahead. Want to go fast and lay trenches with full confidence, heck yeah, send it. For me, they hit the sweet spot that I want in a carver. The 92 mm waist lets you stand on them with everything you got without sinking or loosing torsional stiffness. They aren't the most precise because of that, but I like to make powerful carved turns over precise carved turns. The Anitmatter does that extremely well while also being insanely versatile in an all-mountain format. I would own a pair in a second.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

When you think of all-mountain, to me this is exactly what I think of. Mostly on trail carving and shorter skidded turns with the ability to get weird in the trees or moguls.

Advanced to expert due to the stiffness.

The dark horse of the ski market. You can put just about anyone on it and they can appreciate what it is capable of.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

The Antimatter 75 was such a fun ski, easy and quick to turn. The edge grip and control were on point. I had a blast making small turns and felt confident on ice and crud. My only complaint would be that it liked to turn so much that I got tired by the end of my day.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

The Antimatter 75 is made for front side groomers, it excels in carving and is easy to control and turn. For being so short (for me normally) and with a smaller waist I thought I would feel more of the terrain but the ski absorbed a lot if it and I was not thrown around at all.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Intermediate to advanced skier will love this ski, it is very approachable and I actually felt like it improved my turn radius at times. When I went full power, the ski flexed nicely and was very stable, as long as I kept my turn shape smaller. Its not for someone looking to do large arcing turns, it really excels at a smaller turn radius.

Anything else you want to tell us about your experience on these skis?

Not sure why I was surprised how much I liked this ski, I have loved Armada skis since starting at skiessentials and they keep improving them, if you have never tried an Armada, you should give them a chance.

I loved this ski. Quick, playful, short turns while able to hold an edge and rip it on an open trail. Tail is super loose which allows you to pivot out whenever wanted.

East coast one ski quiver for playful skiers.

Intermediate to advanced. People who have a wide range of skiing styles.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

This ski put a smile on my face, just enough responsiveness and maneuverability to break in and out of different terms and have a little bit of fun, but where the ski really shines is when you give it some gas and lay into it it just feels like a little bottle rocket… but in a good way, controlled and stable. It didn’t really seem to prefer one turn shape over another, which was kind of nice and it was very comfortable in any type of turn. I wanted to lean it into.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

This ski wants to be on groomers and I think that it would probably do really really well in soft bumpy powder snow but I don’t know if I would enjoy it in Mogul‘s or Glades.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Advanced annd expert skiers will certainly appreciate the versatility of the ski. It does require some input, so I could see some intermediate skiers being a little out-gunned by it.

Anything else you want to tell us about your experience on these skis?

Supple. For some reason that’s the word that came to mind when I was skiing it, it was just so comfortable and comforting as I skied it. It’s really confidence inspiring feeling it under me, knowing it was gonna be there for me pushing into some real hard packed icy, turns and at a high rate of speed. I think for how damp it felt it was surprising for how maneuverable it was! I think it was a little bit of a redeemer from the 82, which I felt like was a bit more of a dead weight on my feet whereas this ski had more responsiveness.

A comfortable, easy, ski to ski. Playful but it does not seem that you always have to be on it.

An All mountain ski that would be playful off piste in the glades and fun on any level of terrain on piste. A good one quiver type ski that is not overly demanding.

Advanced skier but does not need to be an ‘expert’. Again a skier that does not have to ‘stand on it’ all the time.

A good all day skiers, ski. One that will not wear you out! Unless you drive it hard.

This ski felt too long in the 188 for me. The tail is flatter than the Antimatter 100 and wasn’t as easy to break free in a turn making the ski feel much longer.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

This ski didn't wow me the same way the Antimatter 100 did. The 92 is a much more on piste oriented ski that sits on the frontside half of the all mountain category. It’s less playful and more direct which isn’t a bad thing in isolation but felt a little too out of character for the new family of skis from Armada. I would’ve preferred a more rockered tail and a surfier feel on the mountain but I understand the need to differentiate this model from the 100. It’s certainly not a bad ski, I just had high expectations for the ski based on the experience I had with the 100 that weren’t met as well as I would’ve hoped.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

It’s an all mountain ski that has deep front side carver traits. It’s a long ski with a bunch of effective edge that wants to carry a long and confident turn shape. In a shorter length you would likely find it more manageable in the tighter more technical terrain as well but the 188 felt limited in those spaces without a lot of skier input that felt like I was having to over exert myself to accomplish.

It’s an intermediate ski for sure, I would think that the smaller lengths would be very appropriate for a wide range of skiers.

The new Speed Metal construction paired with the existing shape and profile from the last generation of skis is a good concept. I think the fully redesigned 100 is a better application of the new technology in both skis though and I look forward to a future where the 92 gets a similar treatment from Armada.

I was initially surprised by how playful and versatile these skis were. I had a ton of fun ripping the side of the trail in the softer snow.

This ski does most things well, I think the softer snow is it's happy place. It was very firm the day of testing, but it still did very well on the hardpack.

This ski could be good for anyone looking for an all terrain ski that you can pretty much bring anywhere.while not a true carver or powder ski, it would be great for anything in between.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

This ski felt fairly damp, even on the chattery hard pack today, being able to hold an edge through turns in firm, fast conditions. It's very directional and stable with a smooth ride for mid-radius turns and felt powerful even at speed. It was not particularly quick edge to edge and liked to be driven from a forward position, not tolerating an upright position very well. For faster groomers, the Antimatter makes nice turns, but it's not as playful or versatile as the declivity it replaces (but is nice at speed).

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

I'd use this mostly on nice groomers, even after they get a bit pushed up as it was a powerful feeling ski (wouldn't get pulled around by piles).

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Intermediate skiers and up should feel comfortable on this ski, if they're willing to stay on it and drive it.

I think it's a groomer ski mostly. Can definitely get off trail but excels as a more playful groomer ski.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

This ski hooks into a turn instantly and finishes consistently. It can really make all sorts of turn shapes and styles regardless of conditions or terrain. The AntiMatter 92 feels like a confident, poised, and polished all-mountain ski that works great on groomers and is capable of all sorts of performance levels.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

This is a true all-mountain ski that functions well in all sorts of terrain. It carves great on groomers with excellent stability and cuts through crud and chop like a much wider ski thanks to the tip shape and freeride DNA.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

This is more of an advanced and expert level ski but I could see a progressing intermediate sizing down on it and having a good time. There's a very high ceiling here, so experts and racers will love the turning and carving capacity.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

I had a blast on this ski. I have long been a fan of the Declivity, so no surprise that I liked this. The Antimatter was playful and nimble. I felt it suited my personality on skis, which is that of someone who likes to go fast and @robcunliffe832 turns, but also likes to ski dumb stuff, pop side hits, get silly and have a good time.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

This felt good on the hard pack that day, and as things were getting chopped up more and more, and there was more fun to be had, it handled it really well. It liked to jump, the little hits I got at least. It held an edge well when I laid it over. It felt nimble and playful and strong. Stiff underfoot, and forgiving in the tip and tail.

Intermediate skiers would love this ski. Great way to up the game with a safety net. Super fun, approachable, and versatile, and at that 92 width - perfect for so many conditions and situations.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

I have always been a fan of the Declivity 92 and this Antimatter 92 is almost a direct extension of that ski. It uses the same shape, just the updated construction Armada is using in most of the new Antimatter line. The tips are a little more supple now, which don't take away its edge grip or composure at speed, but make turn initiation a touch easier. It's mostly noticeable at slower speeds and/or on moderate terrain. I think it's a really nice update. Easily one of the most versatile all-mountain skis. Rips carves on groomers, but the shape and overall feel allows it to be relatively playful off a groomer too. Declivity 92 was always talked about as one of the best skis on the market that no one buys. I hope people realize how good this Antimatter 92 is. Armada deserves to sell some for sure. It's a great ski.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

I think it's best for someone who spends most of their time on groomers, but still wants a decent amount of versatility to go off trail, ski some bumps, ski some trees, and ski some softer snow. It's not as punishing when doing those things as some skis in this width range with metal.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

It's relatively approachable. I think an intermediate could probably ski it without major problems. That said, I do think it's best for an advanced to expert level skier who can properly manipulate it into all the different turns it's capable of.

I can't tell if I like the graphic or not, but I also don't care. It's objectively a great ski.
