DESCRIPTION

The 2027 Blizzard Anomaly 84 is the narrowest, most frontside-focused member of the Anomaly lineup. With an 84-mm waist and the same 2Ti FluxForm construction as the wider Anomalies, it's an all-mountain ski with a clear bias toward groomer carving and harder-snow performance.

Why we like it:

Skis at this width can feel either too racy or too generic, but the Anomaly 84 lands in a sweet spot. It carves with real precision when you commit to it, but the freeride-oriented rocker profile and Trueblend core give it enough versatility to handle the occasional off-trail excursion.

Who it's for:

Advanced and expert skiers who spend most of their time on groomers and hardpack but want a ski with some all-mountain range. Especially well-suited to frontside-leaning skiers, masters of the morning lap, and anyone shopping for a daily driver in regions where soft snow is the exception rather than the rule.

Highlights:

The narrower 84-mm waist gives the Anomaly 84 a quicker edge-to-edge feel than the wider Anomalies, and the construction philosophy stays consistent across the lineup. Blizzard's Trueblend All Mountain woodcore positions beech in the high-stress zones for edge hold and stability and softer poplar through the tip and tail for easier turn initiation, all tuned for the specific demands of an 84-mm waist. The 2Ti construction sits two sheets of titanal into the layup, and FluxForm All Mountain handles the proprietary layup that translates flex inputs into consistent, clean torsional response. The rocker profile keeps a rockered tip and tail with camber underfoot, which means even at this narrower width the ski stays maneuverable in mixed terrain. Vibration dampening rubber at the contact points keeps the ride smooth, even when the corduroy turns to sastrugi by mid-afternoon.

Things to consider:

The 84-mm waist makes the Anomaly 84 a less versatile pick if you regularly ski softer snow or look for off-trail capability. The Anomaly 88 or 94 would be better daily drivers in those cases.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Skis true to length. Pick the size that matches your usual frontside or all-mountain length.
