2027 Blizzard Anomaly Jr skiswith FDT Bindings

The 2027 Blizzard Anomaly Jr is the youth version of the all-new Anomaly Series, scaled down and tuned for kids progressing through the all-mountain world. Built with junior-specific construction and shipped with Blizzard's FDT junior bindings, it's an all-around platform that grows with developing skiers.

Why we like it:

Most kids' skis are either too rigid to flex under a smaller skier or too soft to teach proper carving. The Anomaly Jr's JR Composite Cap construction strikes a balance, giving kids enough structure to learn solid edge work while staying friendly enough to actually load and rebound under their weight.

Who it's for:

Junior skiers progressing through intermediate and advanced terrain. Best for kids developing their carving skills, all-mountain rippers in training, and groms who want a ski that can handle the whole resort.

Highlights:

The Anomaly Jr uses Blizzard's JR Composite Cap construction, a junior-specific layup that's tougher than a basic kids' ski but tuned for the lighter loads a developing skier puts on the platform. The shape is borrowed from the adult Anomaly DNA, scaled into youth-appropriate widths and lengths. The FDT Junior RTL Plate matches the adult-style FDT system with a kid-sized binding plate that delivers consistent flex transfer between boot and ski. The wide length range makes this a ski that fits everything from smaller kids just moving past beginner skis up to teens approaching adult lengths. Skis ship as a complete package with FDT junior bindings, ready to ride out of the box.

Things to consider:

The Anomaly Jr is a true all-mountain ski rather than a dedicated park or freeride tool. Kids who lean strongly toward freestyle should look at the Canvas Jr instead.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Available across a wide junior length range. Pick the length that matches your child's height and current ability level.
