DESCRIPTION

The 2027 Dynastar M-Free 108 with Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings is a directional twin that hits the freeride sweet spot for versatility. It shares the line's metal-free poplar and PU core and surfy, rockered shape, which makes it a single ski for soft-snow days and freeride missions alike. We paired the M-Free 108 with the Tyrolia Attack 14 GW because of the Attack’s light weight, reliability, and ease-of-use for all mountain and freeride skiers. Additionally, ample elastic travel and direct power transmission function to ensure these bindings cater perfectly to the needs of demanding freeriders.

Why we like it:

The 108 has an almost uncanny knack for slashing and pivoting in soft snow. Between the rockered twin shape and the lively but damp Hybrid Core 2.0, it has a surfy feel that very few directional freeride skis pull off without trading away speed and stability.

Who it's for:

Advanced and expert skiers who see plenty of soft snow and want a freeride-leaning daily driver. It makes a strong choice for a West Coast daily driver.

Highlights:

Taper at both ends is what defines the 108: a substantial tip rocker and a fully rockered tail let it release cleanly out of every turn. Underneath, the Hybrid Core 2.0 pairs tri-directional poplar with a PU perimeter and trades titanal for unidirectional fiberglass, the recipe for a lighter, livelier ski that still charges through chop. A 108 mm waist keeps it floaty in soft snow but quick enough for tight trees, and Adaptiv Sidecut smooths transitions so turns start and finish without a catch. With a low stand height of just 17 millimeters, the 2027 Tyrolia Attack 14 offers an impressively close connection to the snow, delivering precise power transmission and a confident, locked-in feel. The FR Pro3 toe piece allows for a full 180 degrees of boot release, enhancing safety in a variety of fall scenarios, while the AFS (Anti-Friction Slider) ensures reliable re-centering and consistent release characteristics. Built to withstand hard use, the Attack 14 combines durability with performance, making it a go-to option for aggressive skiers who demand trust in their gear.

Things to consider:

The directional twin shape is friendlier to freestyle than the M-Pro side of the range, but it is not a dedicated park ski.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The deep tip and tail rocker make it ride a touch short of its stated length, so most skiers can stick with their usual freeride size or bump up a length for more float and stability.
