Pointing the ski where you want it to go is most of what early skiing is about, and the Fischer Ranger Jr in its shorter lengths is built around that. It's narrow underfoot and very light, with a flex Fischer tuned to how little a child actually weighs, and a slight tip lift keeps it from catching as a new skier slides into a turn.
