2027 Head Kore 88 TI Skis
SKU 315456All-mountain versatility with a narrow waist is what the Head Kore 88 TI is built for. A lightweight karuba and beech wood core, two titanal layers, and a long tip-to-tail rocker profile come together to deliver a ski that floats better than its waist suggests while still carving with authority when the snow firms up.
Why we like it:
The Hybrid Top Surface with the flax inlay is the cosmetic and functional signature of the Kore line, and it still looks sharp. More important is what it does for the ride: the lighter topsheet trims swing weight and adds a dose of damping that makes this ski feel calmer than its weight class would suggest.
Who it's for:
Strong skiers who want a frontside-leaning all-mountain ski that doesn't feel like a one-trick carver. Great for skiers who spend most of their time on groomed runs but want a ski that handles the occasional chopped-up sidecountry lap without complaint.
Highlights:
Two layers of titanal sit above and below the core for the kind of damping and torsional stability that keeps the ski composed on hard snow, and the karuba and beech core mix keeps the overall weight down. Graphene reinforcement adds strength without adding heft, and the Freeride Sandwich Cap Construction balances power transfer with a slightly more forgiving feel than a full sidewall build. Underfoot, the UHM C base is structured for glide, and a rockered shape blends easy initiation with full edge engagement through the middle of the turn. The flax-inlaid Hybrid Top Surface is the line's calling card: lighter than a full topsheet, more chip-resistant, and good for damping.
Things to consider:
At a 16-meter radius this is a relatively short-turning ski for its category, which makes it nimble in trees and bumps but means it gives up some high-speed stability to longer-radius siblings further up the Kore line. The Kore 88 TI also leans frontside in feel; if you want more soft-snow capability, the Kore 94 TI is a better starting point.
Fit & sizing considerations:
True to length. Stay at your usual size; come down a length for tighter turns and easier maneuverability in bumps and trees, lengthen up for more stability at speed.
