2027 Head WCR e-SL Rebel FIS Skis
SKU 313085The 2027 Head WCR e-SL Rebel FIS is HEAD's competition-spec slalom ski, built to FIS regulations and skied by the Worldcup Rebels themselves. It gets refinements under the hood for the new season while keeping the core character that's made it a fixture on the World Cup tour. With a narrow waist, race camber, and full World Cup sandwich layup, this is a no-compromise short-turn weapon for racers who line up between the gates.
Why we like it:
EMC utilizes ceramic piezo plates at the tip and tail to convert the ski's own flex into electrical energy and use it to cancel vibration in real time, which sounds borderline science fiction until you actually feel a slalom ski stay calm coming out of a hard rebound. Combined with the graphene reinforcement, the ski feels lighter and quieter underfoot than its performance ceiling would suggest.
Who it's for:
Expert-level competition slalom racers, FIS athletes, masters racers chasing podiums, and seriously committed gate trainers who want a ski that meets World Cup regulations. This is not a recreational ski.
Highlights:
The Graphene Worldcup Sandwich Construction is the foundation here, layering a stiff, vertically laminated wood core with titanal and graphene reinforcement, all wrapped in phenolic sidewalls and topped with the lightweight RD Racing Top Sheet. That layup is what gives the ski its signature World Cup feel: fast, precise, and seriously demanding. EMC adds the electronic damping that nothing else on the market can match. The base is a Race Structured High Speed UHM C Base with infrared waxing prep for serious glide, and Rebel Camber keeps the underfoot tension high for explosive acceleration out of a turn. The included WCR 14 Short raceplate is mounted to accept Freeflex bindings straight from the box, so you're ready to head to the start gate.
Things to consider:
This is a competition tool. The flex is brutally stiff, the tune is aggressive, and the demands on technique are real. If you're not training gates regularly or skiing at a high level on firm snow, the FIS spec will feel punishing rather than rewarding.
Fit & sizing considerations:
Skis true to length, picked by FIS class and racer weight rather than skier height. Take direction from your coach.
