Soft snow versatility meets all-mountain authority in the Nordica Enforcer 104, the widest ski in the Enforcer line and the one that bends the family's identity furthest toward freeride. A poplar and beech wood core, an elastomer Pulse Core, double titanal, and a longer All-Mountain Rocker profile come together for a ski that floats when it needs to and holds an edge when conditions firm up.

Why we like it:

The wider waist gets the headlines, but what actually sells the 104 is how composed it stays in chopped-up afternoon snow. The Pulse Core is doing real work here. Slipping that elastomer strip into a heavy double-titanal layup keeps everything quiet through cut-up snow at speeds where most all-mountain skis would start to skitter. It's a damping trick more skis should steal.

Who it's for:

Advanced and expert skiers who want a single ski that can handle a powder morning and still rip groomers in the afternoon. This isn't a ski for cautious skiers or true intermediates. The Enforcer 104 wants a confident pilot and rewards an active, forward stance.

Highlights:

The 104 is the freeride end of the Enforcer family, and the construction reflects that brief without abandoning the line's frontside DNA. Below the boot, two sheets of titanal sandwich a poplar and beech core, with a Pulse Core elastomer strip embedded between the upper sheet of metal and the wood. That elastomer is the fingerprint of the recent Enforcer overhaul, and it's the reason this ski rides smoother than anything wearing this much metal has any right to. Up at the tip, True Tip construction trades heavy ABS plastic for extended wood that runs further toward the end of the ski, which keeps the swing weight manageable on a ski with this much underfoot. Sidecut at the 185 reads 136-104-126 with a 19-meter turn radius, which is short of average for a 104mm waist and contributes to a more eager turn initiation than the dimensions alone would suggest. The All-Mountain Rocker profile has long, gradual rise in the tip and a touch more tail rocker than the older Enforcer platform, which is the other major reason this generation feels easier to release out of a turn.

Things to consider:

The Enforcer 104 is a substantial ski. If you ski mostly on hardpack and rarely see soft snow, the narrower Enforcer 99 is going to feel quicker and more at home. And while this generation of Enforcer is more accessible than past versions, it still rewards a strong, forward stance. Lazy skiing gets punished.

Fit & sizing considerations:

True to length. Stick with what you usually ride; if you're between sizes and want maximum stability for fast, open terrain, size up. Drop a length if you spend more time in tight trees or technical zones.
