DESCRIPTION

The 2027 Nordica Enforcer 99 with Demo bindings returns with fresh graphics over the construction Nordica overhauled the year before. This is the heart of the Enforcer line: a poplar and beech wood core, an elastomer Pulse Core sandwiched between two layers of titanal, and a generously rockered shape. It holds an edge the way Enforcers always have, but it releases out of a turn and pivots through bumps and crud noticeably easier than past generations did. The demo binding handles the fit side of the equation, with an adjustment range that spans a wide spread of boot sole lengths.

Why we like it:

The Pulse Core is the differentiator. Most all-mountain skis with two sheets of metal can feel locked in to a fault, and the previous-generation Enforcer was no exception, but slipping an elastomer layer between the wood core and one of the titanal sheets has fundamentally changed how this ski rides. It's still planted at speed, the chatter on hard snow gets eaten before it ever reaches your feet, and it feels more cooperative when you want to back off.

Who it's for:

The Enforcer 99 is aimed at advanced and expert skiers who want a single pair for every condition, and it isn't a ski for beginners or true intermediates, because it rewards solid technique and an active stance. If you ski everything the mountain has in one day and would rather not think about which pair to grab, this is the tool.

Highlights:

The Pulse Core, a strip of elastomer sitting between the upper sheet of metal and the wood core, is the single change responsible for the cleaner, smoother ride the current Enforcers deliver. Around it, two layers of titanal sandwich a poplar and beech core that puts beech in the strength-critical zones for edge-to-edge response and poplar through the middle to keep swing weight reasonable. The shape is generously rockered with a notable amount of tail rocker, the other big change from the older Enforcer 100 platform, and it's what makes a 99 mm waist willing to smear and pivot when you ask. True Tip construction finishes it, running the lightweight wood core into the shovel in place of heavy ABS. Pairing this platform with a demo binding adds adjustability to cover a wide range of boot sizes.

Things to consider:

There's a lot of ski here, so if what you want is light, quick, or particularly playful, the Enforcer 99 will feel like more than you need; the Enforcer 94 is easier to handle and the Unleashed 98 is a lot more lively, both inside the Nordica line. And while the current construction is more accessible than it used to be, this is still a ski that wants driving, so you'll need to stay on top of it.

Fit & sizing considerations:

It sizes true to length, so stick with whatever you usually ride. If you're between sizes and want a bit more stability at speed, go up; if you want a quicker, more playful feel, drop down.
