The Nordica Enforcer 99 returns for 2027 with fresh graphics on top of the construction Nordica overhauled the year prior. This is the heart of the Enforcer line, an all-mountain ski with a poplar and beech wood core, an elastomer Pulse Core sandwiched between two layers of titanal, and a generously rockered shape. The result is a ski that holds an edge like the Enforcers always have but releases out of a turn and pivots through bumps and crud noticeably more easily than past generations.

Why we like it:

The Pulse Core is the differentiator. Most all-mountain skis with two sheets of metal can feel locked in to a fault, and the previous-generation Enforcer was no exception. Slipping an elastomer layer between the wood core and one of the titanal sheets has fundamentally changed how this ski rides. It's still planted at speed, but the chatter on hard snow gets eaten before it ever reaches your feet, and the ski feels more cooperative when you want to back off.

Who it's for:

Advanced and expert skiers who want one ski for everything. The Enforcer 99 isn't a ski for beginners or true intermediates; it rewards solid technique and an active stance. If you ski every condition the mountain offers in a single day and don't want to think about which ski to grab, this is your tool.

Highlights:

The sub-100 Enforcer has been a category benchmark for years, and the current build only sharpens that. The poplar and beech core puts beech in the strength-critical zones for edge-to-edge response and uses poplar through the middle to keep the swing weight reasonable. Two layers of titanal sandwich the wood, and the Pulse Core (a strip of elastomer) sits between the upper sheet of metal and the wood core. That single change is what gives the new Enforcers their cleaner, smoother ride. Sidecut at the 185 reads 133-99-121 with an 18.5-meter turn radius, which sits comfortably mid-pack for a true all-mountain shape. The shape is generously rockered with a notable amount of tail rocker, which is the other big change from the older Enforcer 100 platform; it makes the ski more willing to smear and pivot when you ask it to. Topping it off, True Tip construction extends the lightweight wood core into the shovel and trims out heavy ABS, which lowers swing weight and keeps the ski from feeling like a tank.

Things to consider:

This is a substantial ski. If you're looking for something light, quick, or particularly playful, the Enforcer 99 is going to feel like more ski than you need. The Enforcer 94 will feel a little easier to handle and the Unleashed 98 will feel a lot more lively, both within the Nordica line. Also, while the new construction is more accessible than it used to be, this is still very much a ski that wants to be driven; you'll need to stay on top of it to get the best out of it.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Sizes true to length. Stick with whatever you usually ride. If you're between sizes and want a bit more stability at speed, go up; if you want a quicker, more playful feel, drop down.
