DESCRIPTION

Friendlier than the race-tuned Multigara, the Nordica Dobermann Multipista 74 DC brings the same Double Core damping technology to a narrower, more accessible chassis. Twin wood layers wrapped around an elastomer Pulse Core, plus double titanal, sit on a precise on-trail shape, delivering smooth, predictable carving without the demanding flex pattern of the Multigara. It's a high-performance frontside ski for skiers who love clean groomers but don't want a full race ski under their feet.

Why we like it:

The narrower waist makes a real difference. At 74mm underfoot the Multipista transitions edges noticeably faster than the Multigara, and the slightly softer overall flex makes it more forgiving when conditions get late-day-rough. You still get the Double Core damping, which is the secret sauce of this family, but the package is more usable for skiers who don't ski like ski racers every run.

Who it's for:

Advancing intermediate to expert skiers who spend most of their days on groomed snow and want a serious carving ski without the demands of a true race ski. Expert frontsiders who want a quicker, more nimble option for shorter turns will appreciate it as well. Casual skiers will find it more demanding than they need.

Highlights:

Same Double Core construction as the Multigara, different priorities. The Energy 2 Ti DC layup splits the wood into two layers with an elastomer Pulse Core between them, and adds titanal above and below. That damping setup is what makes both Multi-family skis ride so smoothly through cut-up snow. The shape is where the Multipista sets itself apart: at the 180, sidecut measures 120-74-98 with a 16-meter turn radius, which is shorter than you'd expect for an on-trail ski and gives the Multipista a quicker, more responsive feel than the dimensions alone suggest. Full camber underfoot keeps the entire edge engaged with the snow for tip-to-tail bite, and the Multi-Radius Sidecut blends slalom-like behavior in the tips and tails with GS-like manners through the body of the ski. Mounted on the FDT Race Plate Pro N system with TPX 13 Royal bindings, the energy transfer is direct and consistent.

Things to consider:

Within the Dobermann DC family, the Multipista is the more accessible option, but it's still a serious carving ski with a stiff flex and a real performance ceiling. Casual skiers will be happier on something more forgiving like Nordica's Steadfast 75 CA. Also, this is a dedicated frontside ski; soft snow, bumps, and tight terrain are not in its wheelhouse.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Sizes true to length. Standard sizing applies. Size up for long-arc stability at higher speeds; drop a size for tighter, quicker turns or if you tend to ski shorter, tighter runs.
