2027 Rossignol Soul Pro Skiswith Nordica Cruise M Boots and Poles

The Rossignol Soul Pro brings freeride shaping down to junior sizing for kids ready to leave the groomers behind. A twin-rocker profile and a wider underfoot platform float in soft snow and shrug off crud, and the light layup keeps swing weight low enough for smaller skiers to steer with intent. Playful, drifty turns come naturally here, which is exactly the habit young freeriders want to build. A wide, soft-flexing alpine boot built for beginner and casual skiers who want comfort, warmth, and an easy step-in above all else.

Who it's for:

Young skiers with solid fundamentals who have started prioritizing soft snow and off-trail terrain over groomer laps. It's aimed at the junior freerider rather than the kid still working on parallel turns.

Things to consider:

Width costs quickness on hard snow, so this ski asks more effort than a narrow junior carver when the hill is groomed and firm. It also rewards a skier already comfortable steering with the whole body, and a beginner will find it a lot of ski.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Junior freeride skis work best at a length the child can still rotate underfoot, which usually means resisting the temptation to add extra for float. Somewhere around the skier's height is a reasonable ceiling, with shorter lengths making tight trees and switch landings easier to manage. Mondopoint sizing is consistent, so stick with your usual size. The 104mm last is genuinely wide and high-volume, which makes it a strong option for skiers whose feet feel crammed in most boots. Length runs a touch generous, but not enough to size down.
