2027 Salomon Dancehaul Snowboard
The 2027 Salomon Dancehaul with Ride C-2 Bindings is a unisex all-mountain freeride setup built to make ordinary terrain more interesting. The short, fat profile puts more surface area underfoot without the extra length, and the tapered directional shape holds a clean edge while keeping swing weight low. A medium flex and hybrid camber let you lean into carves, drift through chop, or pop off whatever side hit comes next. We paired the board with the C-2 bindings because these well-rounded all-mountain bindings perform well in most conditions or terrain. A moderate flex makes them stiff enough to charge on groomers but not too demanding that you can’t take them in the park. Built with durable material to last season after season making them a great choice to pair with the board.
Why we like it:
Rock Out Camber and Ghost Basalt Stringers together give it a snappy, alive feel the size does not telegraph. The wide platform also keeps things stable underfoot at speed, which is a nice surprise on a board this short.
Who it's for:
Riders with decent fundamentals who want a second board less serious than their daily driver. It rewards a playful style and pump-track instincts and is a lot of fun for anyone who likes finding side hits and quick slashes. Newer riders can grow into it too, since the medium flex is forgiving without feeling dead.
Highlights:
Volume Shift defines this one, widening the waist and shortening the length so you get the float of a longer board in a more maneuverable platform. The Tapered Directional shape sets a wider nose against a narrower tail for clean tracking, and a Radial sidecut keeps turn initiation predictable. A Popster wood core carries Ghost Basalt Stringers, BIAX HD Fiberglass, and a 30% bio-based resin layup, all FSC certified. Rock Out Camber blends rocker at the tips with a flat center and camber underfoot, over a Sintered base that holds wax well. The composite chassis provides durability without excessive weight, while Ride’s cored ankle straps hug the boot securely without pinching. The footbed is canted to reduce fatigue and promote better stance alignment.
Things to consider:
It is comfortable across a lot of terrain but not built for hard, icy front-side charging, so anyone laying down deep-angle carves on bulletproof groomers will want something else. The short-fat geometry also takes a run or two to dial in if you are used to traditional proportions.
Fit & sizing considerations:
It sizes short by design, so drop a size or two from your usual length to get the float-and-go feel the shape was built around. The run is wide only, so larger-footed riders are covered without a separate wide model.
