2027 Volkl M7 Mantra W Women's Skiswith Tyrolia Attack LYT 11 GW Bindings

The 2027 Volkl M7 Mantra W Women's with Tyrolia Attack LYT 11 GW Bindings is built around the same award-winning platform as its unisex counterpart, bringing serious all-mountain freeride performance to women who like to charge. A multi-layer wood core, a three-piece titanal frame, and a flatter, multi-radius shape make it a phenomenal carver for its width, equally at home holding an edge on firm snow and cutting through crud. We paired the M7 Mantra W with the Tyrolia Attack LYT 11 GW because of the Attack’s light weight and reliability for all mountain and freeride skiers. Thanks to a 15% reduction in weight, the Attack LYT 11 is the perfect binding option for lighter weight freeriders, and keeps this setup on the lighter side without sacrificing power or performance.

Why we like it:

Edge hold on hard and icy snow is impressive; this ski stays glued where narrower skis would wash out. The 4 Radius Drive deserves credit too, handing you the freedom to choose your turn shape instead of being locked into one.

Who it's for:

Strong, confident women with solid technique who want a high-performance ski for trail and freeride duty alike. It gives back exactly as much as you put in, so it suits skiers who like to ski actively and at a pace.

Highlights:

Shape is where this ski shines. A flatter profile keeps more edge engaged for a planted feel, and 4 Radius Drive offers a supportive entry, an open second arc, a tight radius beneath a 96 mm waist, and an easy-releasing tail, which is why something this stiff and energetic moves between long and short turns more readily than its mass would suggest. Construction stays identical to the unisex version: poplar and beech wood core, a full titanal layer beneath it, and the three-piece Tailored Titanal Frame on top for natural flex paired with grip and power. Fine-tuned for 2027, the Attack LYT 11 is designed to bring the ideal level of safety and performance to skiers looking for a light weight binding for a wide-bodied all-mountain or freeride ski. The new FR LYT Toe is 15% lighter, and offers a sliding AFD for precise and reliable release as well as plenty of elastic travel. Tyrolia’s SX FR Heel is easy to step into, offering an intuitive and frustration-free experience whether you’re stepping into your skis to start your day, or cleaning up from a pow day yardsale.

Things to consider:

There is a real performance floor here; stiff and substantial, this ski needs to be driven. Skiers after an easy, forgiving ride or true powder flotation will find friendlier options elsewhere in the line. What strong skiers get in return is precision and power that is hard to match at this width.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Take your normal number. Choosing one size shorter crispens the carve, with a small tradeoff in off-trail stability.
