2027 Volkl Mantra 84 W Women's Skiswith Tyrolia Attack LYT 11 GW Bindings

The 2027 Volkl Mantra 84 W Women's with Tyrolia Attack LYT 11 GW Bindings is quick, precise, and women's-specific, the narrowest and most carving-focused ski in the women's Mantra line. A poplar and beech wood core, titanal layering, and a multi-radius shape give it the family's trademark edge grip in a nimble, easy-to-steer package tuned for firm-snow performance. We paired the Mantra 84 W with the Tyrolia Attack LYT 11 GW because of the Attack’s light weight and reliability for all mountain and freeride skiers. Thanks to a 15% reduction in weight, the Attack LYT 11 is the perfect binding option for lighter weight freeriders, and keeps this setup on the lighter side without sacrificing power or performance.

Why we like it:

What stands out is how little effort it takes to move this ski from one edge to the other. The titanal frame keeps it grippy and energetic, so quickness never comes at the cost of hold.

Who it's for:

Advanced and expert women who spend their time on groomed terrain and want a precise, lively carver. It suits women who ski with intent on hard snow and would rather have precision underfoot than extra surface area.

Highlights:

Titanal layering and the three-piece Tailored Titanal Frame are what let an 84 mm waist stay damp and composed while still flexing naturally, and that pairing is the reason this ski feels quick without ever feeling nervous. Beneath them, a multi-layer poplar and beech wood core works beech toward the edges for power and grip. Carbon worked into the tips is what keeps a metal-heavy ski feeling light in hand and eager at the top of a turn. The 3D Radius sidecut blends a long tip radius, a short slalom-style center radius, and an open tail for clean, quick turns, making this the most agile and carving-oriented ski in the women's family. Fine-tuned for 2027, the Attack LYT 11 is designed to bring the ideal level of safety and performance to skiers looking for a light weight binding for a wide-bodied all-mountain or freeride ski. The new FR LYT Toe is 15% lighter, and offers a sliding AFD for precise and reliable release as well as plenty of elastic travel. Tyrolia’s SX FR Heel is easy to step into, offering an intuitive and frustration-free experience whether you’re stepping into your skis to start your day, or cleaning up from a pow day yardsale.

Things to consider:

Range is the tradeoff. Everything that makes this ski so quick on firm snow leaves it out of its depth in soft, broken-up conditions, and women wanting float and all-mountain versatility should move up a width within the line. An active, technical approach is what unlocks it.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Your usual length is the right call here, with a shorter option available for anyone who wants the ski to come around even faster.
