Kristi Brown
While we had a lot of advanced and expert skiers at our ski test, Kristi arguably brought the most experience and an impeccable ski style to the table. When asked to describe her ski ability Kristi responded with “follow me and see.” That might sound cocky, but seriously, try to follow her. Kristi skis with a distinctly energetic style and her turns are made with great precision. She’s the type of skier that doesn’t miss a beat through changes in terrain, maintaining a balanced, smooth approach even through tricky spots. Kristi is also a strong competitor in our local “Ski Bum” race league, where she typically finishes as the fastest woman and is often nipping on the heels of the fastest men!
Hi Kristi,
I have to replace my beloved Victory skis. Which Nordica ski most resembles this ski? I’m 66, 5’2″ 135 lbs. I like to ski smooth groomers fast while making smooth aggressive turns. I tend to turn a lot, and like to ski pretty. Don’t do bumps, my knees can’t do it.
Hi Chris!
Last I knew Kristi was out west testing skis, so I thought I would add my thoughts. The new Nordica Astral 84 would be a great choice. Carves really well, feels great on groomers, but will handle softer snow conditions better than your current skis. I know you say you don’t go into the bumps, but sometimes there’s soft snow on the groomers and I think the Astral 84 does great in those conditions.
