For 2021, Fischer has made all of their Ranger skis the same for both men and women. Same shapes, same construction, just two color options and a whole bunch of sizes to choose from. This Ranger 99 Ti is one of their most powerful and versatile all-mountain skis. The Ranger Ti skis use more metal than their FR brothers, as well as flatter, stiffer tails. They still have the Carbon Nose and Aeroshape design, so still feel relatively light on your feet, but they take power and stability to the next level at the cost of slow speed maneuverability. For aggressive, powerful skiers, that's a worthwhile tradeoff, and the Ranger 99 Ti is still versatile for un-groomed terrain and softer snow conditions, just doesn't have the surfy feel of the FR versions. Skiers who like to go fast and complete powerful carving turns will love these skis and their ability to tank through anything you point them towards thanks to the tip shape and the robust feel underfoot.

Annie MacDonald falls squarely into that category of skiing fast and aggressively, and it's no surprise she loved the Ranger 99 Ti. After testing the 181 cm length, Annie scored it all 4s and 5s out of 5, with overall impression earning the 5 out of 5 score. "Impressed with this ski! Really stable, but also lively and quick turning. Really damp in the tip, but light and with enough float that it would be fun in the powder. Jumped into bumps in the woods and they performed well. Good all over ski for an aggressive skier." If you're an accomplished skier like Annie, you won't have any trouble taking the Ranger 99 Ti into tight terrain like trees and moguls, but intermediates would likely find it a little too challenging. That's where the FR models may be a better choice as the softer flex, lighter feel, and increased tail rocker result in easier edge release and easier turns in terrain like that. On the other hand, those FR skis can't match the stability and edge grip of these Ti versions, so there's a decision to be made if you're choosing within the Ranger line.
Allison Ruschp skied the 174 cm length, which she mentioned was a little bit much for her. Alli's not quite as aggressive as Annie as a skier, which showed in her feedback to the Ranger 99 Ti. "Powerful ski, really likes to go fast and be on edge. This length was a lot of ski for me, I think I would prefer the 166 cm length. I had fun making big turns on groomers, but would hesitate taking it into the woods in this length." Alli spends a lot of time on the Ranger 102 FR, which uses more tail rocker, and also skis it in a shorter length, so it's important to consider perspective when reading her feedback.
If you like skiing fast and charging through variable snow conditions, you'll love the Ranger 99 Ti. Advanced and expert skiers will love its stable, quiet feel and the way it stays composed no matter where you take it. Intermediates may find it a little challenging, especially if you take it into technical terrain, so keep that in mind. In our testing, we've found both the FR models and the Ranger 92 Ti to be a little more approachable for less aggressive skiers.
