The Head Kore 93 W returns unchanged for this year, and advanced lady skiers couldn't be happier. There's just so much to like about the Kore 93, and its effortlessly fun-filled personality. It's like this thing isn't even trying to be cool, and that's what makes it so cool. Interestingly, although it's called a 93, it actually measures a 91 underfoot in the 171 cm length, much like the guy's version of the skis do. As the ski gets shorter, the waist gets narrower. This allows the ski manufacturer to have the skis behave the same regardless of size. A 153 with a 93 mm waist performs a lot different than a 171 with the same shape. By doing this, Head keeps the ski more consistent throughout the size span. Built with a karuba wood core and graphene, koroyd, and carbon laminates, the ski does all it can to stay feather-light in the face of so many skis with metal. They're able to use these materials to get the job done, making the Kore 93 an amazing choice for the true all-mountain skier. Light, stable, and fun to ski, the Kore 93 is here to impress another season of skiers.

On the 162, Shelby Parenteau scores the ski 4's for stability, quickness, maneuverability, edge hold, versatility, and overall impression. These are some consistently high scores, so once again, we're seeing the Kore series of skis come out on the high end of the performance spectrum. "Good all-mountain ski for the aggressive skier or the advancing intermediate looking to up their game. Very stable and very quick. On the stiffer side, so I felt like I had to lay them over or else they weren't entirely forgiving. But, they did come around quick in a turn and felt pretty nimble." And like all good all-mountain skis, Shelby notes that they're "good middle of the road skis-not too much, not too little." That ~90 mm underfoot shape certainly strikes a lot of notes at the same time, and Shelby's pretty astute to pick up on that. On the 171, Nifer Hoehn calls it a "nice, solid ski that I would recommend to most women-good all-mountain ski. I loved the stiffness. It felt solid throughout the turn and easy to move around. Not a ton of energy or playfulness, but a good ski at all categories." Again, we see that kind of long-way home approach to saying that it does a little of everything.
Catherine Ferguson was also on the 171 and was all 4's down the card with a lone 5 for overall impression. With a high-end skier like C-Ferg, it's great to hear that these stand up to the test. In that longer length, Catherine notes that this is a "very versatile ski overall. I was able to interchange between fast, quick turns and long, wide turns. Great for groomers and can hold an edge in icier conditions. The stiffness of the ski is great for a more aggressive skier trying to ski on all-terrain. I could ski this ski every day!" That's certainly all you could ask for as a ski builder. If your intention is to create that one-ski quiver, the Kore 93 is a fantastic option.
A bit narrower than advertised, all that really does is make the Kore 93 a bit more useful on-trail. In carved turns and for edge grip, this narrower waist is a lot more in line with what most skiers are doing. They're stiff, strong, and light, and skiers from a wide variety of backgrounds and ability levels will hop on and simply love this ski-they're built for fun, so you should certainly give them a whirl if that's your thing.
