On the tippy top end of the Cloud spectrum is the C14. These are some high-end carvers that love to be put to the test. Best suited for high expert skiers and racers, these skis feature Atomic’s new Revoshock technology, as well as some other bells and whistles that make this ski stand out in a crowded field of upper-end carving skis. Built with Atomic’s Flite wood core, this ski is one small step below the power wood core found in the racing skis, giving mere mortal lady skiers a chance of accessing all the performance that the C14 has to offer.

Revoshock is one of the bigger stories with this ski, as it replaces, or has evolved from, the Servotec rod that has served Atomic’s high-end race skis quite well over the years. Revoshock consists of four steel plates that are recessed into the ski, and they sit in an elastic polymer that allows them to float and flex with the direction of the ski. Like pulling a rubber band, these steel plates are going to want to return to their main form, and keep the ski on its intended line no matter how fast you’re going or how bumpy the terrain gets. With two sheets of metal to the mix, these skis are about as smooth, stable, and damp as it gets.

At 75 mm underfoot, you’re getting a decent amount of width to work with here, allowing for a better balance point for skiers who aren’t using these in a racing format, but the build gets you a lot further than you’ll likely need. This amount of underfoot ski provides more versatility, but still stays firmly planted in the front side category for skiers who like to carve and ski the trails, but who also want some more ski under their foot so they don’t have to be “on it” the whole entire time. The 160 cm length generates a 13-meter turn radius, so no matter where you go or what conditions you ski, you’re going to be making a lot of turns, and Atomic wouldn’t have it any other way. Full camber, the whole ski, the Atomic Cloud 14 is a true tip-to-tail carver, and will leave some of the cleanest and roundest turns in your wake that you’ll ever find.

Advanced skiers on the low end, and World Cup skiers on the high end will love the composure and poise of the Atomic Cloud 14. This system setup will put smiles on a lot of skiers’ faces, from top to bottom and first to last chair. If you have a strong skiing background and want something that looks as sharp as it skis, check out the Atomic Cloud 14 for sure.
