Narrow, front-side oriented, and a whole lot of fun, the Atomic Vantage 77 Ti women’s skis with M10 GripWalk bindings are an awesome choice for intermediate all the way to expert skiers who are spending most of their time on smooth and groomed surfaces. These are some of the narrowest all-mountain skis out there on the hill, and they most certainly blur the line between a front-side carver and a versatile all-mountain ski. At 77 mm underfoot, these skis are best-suited for smooth, firm, and fast terrain and conditions, allowing skiers to get the best-possible edge grip, leading to confident, round turns that anyone would be jealous of. The 156 cm length generates a 14.6-meter turn radius, so these things are quick turners—almost bordering on a slalom-style turn at that length. And that’s just how these Vantage 77 Ti skiers want it. Built with Atomic’s Prolite construction featuring a light weight wood core and titanium tank mesh, the Vantage 77 has enough metal to really stiffen the flex of the ski, but not too much that it makes the ski overpowering for lighter or less-aggressive skiers.

Carly Monahan skied the 156, and found that while it skied true to size, she would size up for a personal pair. Given the softer testing conditions that we did have, it’s not surprising to hear that a longer ski would provide more stability, and Carly is astute to pick up on this fact. Flotation, unsurprisingly, occupies the basement of her scorecard, garnering a 2 out of 5, which is right in line with the ski’s intended use. 5’s out of 5 were given for quickness, maneuverability, and forgiveness, so there is something to the metal laminate that Atomic uses in these skis, and Carly likes it when it comes to keeping the ski on its intended line. Carly states about this ski: The Vantage 77 Ti W is “Like a feather; light and maneuverable. Great frontside ski for a smaller/lighter skier whose ideal day is casually carving on-piste from bell to bell and not having your legs feel completely shredded by the end of it!” For a lot of skiers, this is about all you could ever ask or want about a ski. Light, fun, and easy to turn, the Vantage 77 Ti W will not tire you out, especially if you remain on-piste and on smoother surfaces.
Lexi Hildreth also found a lot to like about these light and agile performers. Like Carly, Lexi was also on the 156, and noted that it was on the short side for her, but pretty good overall. Lexi scored the ski 5’s out of 5 for quickness, maneuverability, and torsional stiffness, showing that these narrower skis really keep it tight in the turns, especially on firmer snow. While we didn’t get a whole lot of harder surfaces on our test day, it was plain to Lexi that these skis can and will hold when the conditions and terrain demand. “I like the way this ski is so easy to turn, and gets from edge to edge quickly and easily. I felt like I could ski these things all day long, and would have a good time doing so. They got tossed around a bit in the heavier snow that we had, but not too bad, I kept thinking that they were a bit wider than they were just because I’m not used to skiing on skis this wide.” It wasn’t that long ago that skis at 77 mm wide were considered mid-fat, so the fact that these are some of the narrower all-mountain skis at our test is actually pretty funny.
If you’re looking for something light, easy to turn, and easy on the wallet, the Atomic Vantage 77 Ti women’s skis with an M10 GripWalk binding are a great place to be. If you spend most of your time on groomed and smooth terrain, and if you’re looking to advance and progress through the levels, these are awesome skis for the job. A great setup for a first pair, the Vantage 77 will satisfy a lot of skiers needs and wants.
