Ease of use and predictability are what the Head Absolut Joy are all about and for the 2025 season, we’re seeing the same great ski return, offering a wide variety of skiers lightweight agility and effortless turning capabilities. With a wide enough waist width for providing balance and confidence in an arced turn, it also has some versatility for off-piste exploration. Best fit for groomer performance, this ski is a great option for beginners to intermediates who want a stable platform and smooth consistency from bell to bell.

Despite its approachable nature, we get a pretty high-end build with this ski, contributing to its strengths and capabilities. Built with a wood composite core, this sturdy yet energetic foundation keeps the weight down and the performance high. Containing a central strip of graphene to stiffen the flex and provide excellent pop throughout, this material is highly beneficial and lightweight. Head incorporates Energy Management Circuit to quiet vibrations and keep things smooth and silent in the forebody of the ski. This is incredibly effective technology and does a great job reducing chatter. We’ve seen this construction carry over from the past few seasons and for good reason.

The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2025 Head e-absolut Joy

From a shaping perspective, the overall footprint is designed to encourage easy turn initiation and smooth maneuverability. With a round shovel shape and slight rocker, engaging in a turn is intuitive, while the tail promotes precision and control. As for turn shapes, the 163 cm length generates a 14.8-meter radius, which is a slightly longer arc than a dedicated race ski but plays into the friendlier overall character. With a moderate camber profile with minimal to no taper, its plain to see that this ski performs best in a groomer format. Offered in a variety of lengths, ranging from 143 to 168, this ski appeals to everyone.

When it comes to fun, predictable groomer performance, the Head Absolut Joy remains one of the most approachable skis for beginners and intermediates looking to improve and progress with ease. A great carver with a light weight and energetic feel, this ski makes a lot of sense for a wide audience of skiers.
