An exciting new line from K2, the Omen series is a park-oriented collection that features modern technology and freestyle shapes that will appeal to competitive slopestyle skiers in a way like never before. With their previous models within this category, including the Poacher, Sight, and Midnight, a thing of the past, all models will now fall under the Omen family. With various waist widths and length options, the unisex series offers a men’s and women’s version featuring the same construction elements but different graphics and sizes. A highly versatile waist width and playful demeanor, the Omen 90 W is highly useful for park progression and creative all-mountain skiing. While the wider options may appeal to those looking for a wider platform and greater degree of versatility, the 90 W is a great choice for taking on the terrain park with confidence.

Borrowing construction inspiration from the Reckoner series, K2 uses their aspen micro block core to give the ski a nice mix of light weight and high energy. Blending responsiveness with agility, the core is wrapped in a triaxial fiberglass laminate, a method we see used by K2 with a lot of their skis and for good reason. This technique not only boosts stiffness but enhances feedback and overall performance while keeping the weight down. In addition, they incorporate carbon stringers into this fiberglass braid to make it quicker and more agile. As we see in K2’s most recent skis, their new TwinTech sidewalls, which uses an approach that extends the vertical portion of the sidewall into the tips and tails, drastically increases the level of durability throughout the ski. Finding the right balance between mobility and strength, Tester Lauren Reed found them to be “very playful and accessible to a range of skiers.”

The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2025 K2 Omen 90 W

As we know, the mid-90s range for all-mountain versatility is ideal. Though we’re on the narrow side with this 90 mm width, it makes perfect sense for terrain park capabilities while still leaving plenty of room for other usage. Bookended by a 119 mm tip and 113 mm tail, the symmetry is close but the 6 mm difference accounts for greater balance and control both in the air and on the snow. As for turn shapes, the 169 cm length generates a 16-meter turn radius, which allows for clean, round arcs of various styles. With an impressive variety of length options, ranging from 149 cm to 185, up and coming juniors to advanced adults can take advantage of this ski.

Very playful and accessible to a range of skiers.
Lauren Reed

A step in the right direction for K2, their brand-new approach to freestyle twin tips combines the perfect blend of energetic playfulness and reliable durability. Utilizing modern technology and proven shapes, K2 has carried freestyle skiers into the next generation.
