These skis are super fun and well-rounded. The K2 Mindbender 90 C W is lightweight, easy to use and highly rewarding for intermediate to advanced skiers who want a sophisticated build and fun-loving character. As with the rest of the carbon-powered skis in this series, there is an ideal strength to weight ratio, utilizing construction elements that keep the weight down and the performance up. While the 89Ti W offers more power, with that comes more work. Offering a poised, stable feel that inspires confidence and keeps you wanting more, the 90 C W’s easy-going personality allows for versatile performance both on-piste and off-piste. Well-rounded and incredibly fun, the appeal of this ski continues into this season and we couldn’t be happier. We get a graphic change, but structurally the ski returns the same.

K2 does a nice job of mixing sophistication and simplicity here. Build-wise, we’re working with a nice balance between strength and agility. Providing enough substance for high-performance skiing while remaining accessible enough for intermediates, the construction factors in the necessary components. Starting with an aspen veneer wood core, a nice mix of energy and stability is achieved right off the bat. K2 incorporates their Carbon Spectral Braiding, which applies carbon in a sophisticated format throughout the ski in order to control the flex pattern. By using a tighter weave of carbon in the shovel and underfoot, with a looser cross-hatching in the tail, they're able to accomplish more precision when entering the turn and a playful, energetic feel in the back. A nice weight, the 160 cm length hits the scale at 1550 grams, which is enough for good stability while being plenty agile. Lauren Simmers notes that ski size does factor in here: “Fun ski with right length. Was overskiing the tips but it was easy to get in edge & turn.” If you’re a bigger or more powerful skier, it’s okay to size up.

The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2026 K2 Mindbender 90C W

These are very useful and utilitarian all-mountain skis due to the footprint. Combining a refined build with a fun shape is what makes this ski so approachable. At 90 mm underfoot, this width screams versatility, especially when you consider the profile. Easy to turn and with a friendly flex, the bit of rocker doesn’t overwhelm but allows for easy initiation and smooth rebound. Effortless on soft snow, it floats quite well for its width and accommodates those looking to get more comfortable on the sides of the trail. Quick underfoot, the 11.9-meter turn radius in the 160 cm length allows for nimble performance and shorter turn shapes. It's hard to top this ski’s well-rounded nature, making it a great choice for progressing intermediates looking to work on techniques in a variety of terrain and conditions. Simmers continues, noting that “This ski could take you most anywhere. Versatile width underfoot so would be fun too on some fresh snow.”

Well-rounded and easy to ski, this ski meets the needs of so many skiers. Not everyone is looking for a demanding, burly ski for cruising trails and that's why this ski makes so much sense. It is not lacking in the performance department whatsoever; skiers looking to gain confidence and improve their skillset will love the capabilities and feel of this ski. If you love bumps and packed-out trees, this ski is an absolute blast.
