2027 K2 Reckoner 110 W

The 2027 K2 Reckoner 110 W is an amazing option for playful and creative skiers who spend most of their time in deeper snow and more interesting and exciting terrain. These skis have a solid feel yet a flexible nature that allows them to be used in a freestyle and freeride setting. There are really no limits here as to how deep the snow can be and how many stunts you're looking to pull off. While wide, they do have a good sense of place and time in this world, so they're not just limited to freestyle powder skiing.

The Reckoner 110 W is built with a pure aspen wood core. This delivers smoothness and predictability in all sorts of technical and rowdy zones. K2 uses their carbon spectral braiding technology to adjust the levels and style of flex throughout the skis. They keep the ski relatively torsionally stiff in the midbody of the ski with more horizontally oriented stringers while in the tips and tails those move to more of a horizontal look which makes the skis feel a bit looser and more drifty. We also get carbon boost stringers that are woven into the fiberglass to add to the energy of the ski. It is, though, very flexible in the tips and tails that creates that super playful persona. There's some weight here, and that adds to the stability, but it's way more about the shape and profile that lead to the ski's strong character.

That shape is just really fun and dramatic. With K2's Powder Twin Rocker profile, there's a ton of drama in the tips and tails and a decent amount of camber underfoot to provide pop. These skis feature measurements of 138/110/125 and those generate an 18-meter turn radius in the 170 cm length. The radius is somewhat irrelevant at this level because the ski can be bent easily to make all sorts of turn shapes and styles. We also get a good deal of taper in these skis as they can stay afloat in most depths of snow. With a twin tip style, the freestyle acumen is greatly expanded upon, so if you are a big fan of natural features, wind lips, and other creative spots around the mountain, you'll be 100% stoked on a Mindbender 110 W.

These are specific skis for a specific job. There's no real all-mountain potential here. These skis need fresher, deeper, and softer snow to access the entirety of their performance. When they get in those zones, they operate at a very high level of performance with unmistakable freestyle influence.
