2027 K2 Reckoner 92 W

With ample flex and a fun twin tip shape, the 2027 K2 Reckoner 92 W is a freestyle-oriented ski that has an all-mountain capacity. This ski returns unchanged from last year, featuring the same shape, profile, construction, and graphics. If you're looking for a fun-loving ski that provides good value and durability, the Reckoner 92 W is a fantastic choice.

These skis are built with an aspen microblock core to provide a good mix of smoothness and light weight. We dont' get a whole lot of sidewall here as the ski is mostly capped. There's slight, and partial sidewall in the underfoot zone so at least K2 is cognizant of the fact that skiers need some edge grip. They use their triaxial braided core so there's a good deal of fiberglass in this ski. When that glass is mixed with the needed amount of epoxy, the skis do end up being on the hefty side, but that's okay. The flex makes them more than accessible as these skis are quite bendy. Tester Allarie Sullivan calls it a "Solid ski from K2! It definitely is a one quiver ski. It was really playful but still happy to hold an edge. An all-mountain ski for the people! Nice work, K2."

In terms of shape, having a twin tip in the low to mid 90's makes a lot of sense for a lot of skiers. You get the benefits of a wider platform to stand on for flotation without it being too wide or cumbersome. The skis use measurements of 124/92/114 to generate a 13-meter turn radius in the 166 cm length. The flex of the ski makes that number somewhat immaterial as skiers will be able to bend the ski to get what they need out of it from a radius perspective. Tester Mar Kuhnel states that it feels " Like a well-used pair of shoes. Comforting fit and casual turns while also ready to boogie. Parks, trees, and bumps. Fairly soft and forgiving construction to play around with. At this length I'd be worried about catching an odd edge during some chatter if not paying attention."

These skis do feel like they're on the casual side with a playful personality. There's not a whole lot of business to be done on the Reckoner 92 W. You get fantastic value, good durability, and a creative shape and style that just makes this ski feel like a total blast. It's wide enough for the softer snow side of the spectrum but also feels quite at home on groomers.
