2027 Liberty Radian 100

The 2027 Liberty Radian 100 is a strong all-mountain ski with some freeride notes for increased versatility. The build of the ski does lean more towards power and precision, but the shape of the ski is more creative and interesting. We split a lot of these 100's into one or the other category, but the reality is that most of them live in both. The Radian 100 separates itself with more of a directional shape while keeping a decent rocker profile intact for soft snow compliance.

The construction is smooth and powerful, with a blend of bamboo, poplar, and ash in their Precision Core. Radian 100 uses Variable Metal Technology to provide further damping to the mix while their carbon stringers add electricity and rebound. We like how this ski mixes those attributes because it aligns with the ski's ability to be polyvalent and versatile. Tester Hans de Boer notes that "This ski was surprising. I didn’t have high expectations for it, and it definitely felt great on the way down. I could give it short terms, long terms, medium terms, and based on my input, it gave me exactly what I expected in return. Very consistent ski edge to edge and definitely playful. This ski hits all the marks for an all-mountain ski. You can carve it. You can play around on it and take short turns or long turns if you’re with people who aren’t that fast it’ll still be fun and if you experience a powder day, the ski will still be a lot of fun so it definitely could be the ones ski quiver."

The shape of the ski allows it to be comfortable in all sorts of situations. We wouldn't hesitate to use it in an on-piste format all of the time, nor would we balk at the prospect of this being an off-trail ski. With decent rocker length to go along with gratuitous tip splay and taper, the Radian 100 is a shapely ski. It uses an 18.5-meter turn radius to boost the drifty and smeary capacity in softer snow, bumps, and trees. De Boer continues: "I think this ski would be good for intermediate to expert. I think it’s forgiving enough, but also it can handle a lot of energy put into it and be predictable but also stay playful at high speeds and stable. I was surprised at how much I like this ski. From what I knew about it I didn’t think it’d be as dynamic as it was, and I had a lot of fun even though the conditions were pretty marginal at best. I think this ski is for someone who is not quite an expert but looking to advance and not sure exactly where or what they wanna do. The ski will keep them entertained."

Entertainment is a huge part of this activity, and it makes total sense to have a ski align with that preference. We find that the Radian 100 does a great job of being smooth and silent on firm and groomed surfaces while also feeling floaty in deeper snow and more technical terrain. As with most skis in this range, you're not going to get the absolute best of anything, but you are going to get some really nice parts of everything.
