Overview:
As more of a tweener option in terms of price, sizes, and overall application, the K2 Reckoner 92 fills a very important role in the world of twin tips. Available in sizes from 149 to 179 breaking on the 10’s, the Reckoner 92 takes the playful personality of the wider skis in the line and pares it down to the tweener level. By adding a Marker-branded M2 10 binding to the mix, skiers are getting a fantastic value to go along with a fairly traditional twin-tip build and shape. An Aspen veneer wood core is wrapped with K2’s triaxial fiberglass braiding, giving the Reckoner 92 a good amount of snap and pop for all-mountain skiing while remaining shapely enough for emerging park skiers to spend most/all of their time in the air and on the rails.
Who it's For:
Lots of skiers, from package and value-oriented skiers to future freestyle and park competitors looking for a versatile and playful ski.

Overview:
By blending a poplar wood core with a cap construction, Dynastar has made a very effective twin tip that, like the Reckoner 92, serves a number of different purposes for a wide variety of skiers. There’s a huge range of sizing options with this ski, running from 130 to 180 cm breaking on the 10’s. The cap build is great because it keeps the ski as one cohesive unit adding both durability as well as quickness. This definitely falls more into the all-mountain category for twin tips, mainly because of the value and Look XPress 11 bindings. Aspiring freestyle skiers will love the twin-tipped shape and park-focused profile while true all-mountain skiers will love the Menace 90 in the bumps, trees, and groomed terrain.
Who it's For:
LOTS of skiers looking for playfulness, quickness, versatility, and VALUE. The range of lengths is a huge plus here.

Overview:
Entering more of a true twin category with the Oblivion 79, skiers looking for strong park and pipe performance will find a lot to like with this setup. Head’s wood core twin tip construction is a strong and well-defined way of building skis, and we see it carry forward into the 84 and 94 mm versions of this ski quite successfully. Park-specific rocker ensures long camber underfoot and a poppy feel. We’re tightening up a bit in terms of length here, with the ski starting at 154 and going up to 181. If you’re looking for that real-ski feel with a nearly symmetrical shape, the Head Oblivion 79 is a fantastic ski on which to begin your freestyle journey.
Who it's For:
Slightly more competition-oriented skiers looking for a twin tip for park and pipe performance.

Quickness, Agility, Dependability |
Overview:
Built with Volkl’s Multi-Layer wood core consisting of beech and poplar, the Volkl Revolt 86 is supremely poppy and fun-loving—equally at home on the trails as it is in the park. With a partial cap construction, the Revolt 86 is grippy underfoot while being flexible and playful in the tips and tails. Even for larger and more aggressive skiers, the Revolt 86 holds up well in delivering strong performance to the edges of the skis. We’re starting to see longer, and more park-specific turn shapes filter in here, with the 172 cm length generating a 21-meter arc. That comes with a smooth and long effective edge that delivers a consistent and predictable personality both in the terrain park and as an all-mountain ski. Longer turn radii also tend to be more forgiving and less catchy, perhaps most noticeable in switch takeoffs, when skiing in the park.
Who it's For:
Terrain park enthusiasts who prefer a directional shape over the symmetrical options like the Helix 88 or Revolt 90.

Pop, Sturdiness, Splay |
Overview:
K2 has a lot of experience in the twin tip category, and it shows. The Sight has become a popular choice among young park rippers. We can’t help but notice their skis often weigh a little more than their competitors, which is evident if you look at the Revolt 86 above or the Honey Badger below, but what comes along with a little extra weight is increased durability. if you’re really bashing your skis around in the park, particularly on rails, it’s nice having a really strong, durable ski. I’ve seen kids put the Sight through the ringer over the course over 100 days in a given season, and they come out on the other end still intact. We also like the Carbon Boost stringers in the Sight. It adds a little pop and energy, which helps counteract the extra weight. In other words, although heavier than some, they don’t feel particularly heavy when you ski them. More at home in the park than anywhere else, but tip and tail rocker with early taper not only makes them smoother and less catchy in the park, it also increases all-mountain versatility.
Who it's For:
The modern park skiers. That tip and tail rocker and taper allows for butters, smears, and swerving, while carbon stringers and camber underfoot provide support for big landings. Look out X Games.

Quickness, Agility, Value |
Overview:
The Honey Badger is basically Line’s take on a ski like the Sight. It’s designed for durability and the abuse of park and urban skiing. It is, however, a little lighter, and we also get more extended sidecut dimensions. That increases responsiveness, while also making things like nose butters just slightly more challenging. The other benefit is in the swing weight, as linking multiple switch ups and spinning on to technical rail features will feel easier than on those heavier models. Although the dimensions aren’t symmetrical, they’re very close, and we do get a completely symmetrical flex pattern. Performs great and feels very intuitive when skiing switch as a result. We also think it’s important to point out the value in skis like the Honey Badget, Sight, Revolt 86, etc. They use high quality materials and craftsmanship, yet still reach an affordable price.
Who it's For:
Park skiers who value quickness, responsiveness, and light swing weight over endless stability. You probably spend more time dialing in your 2 pretz 2 than worrying about landing your first dub 10.

Competition Performance, Density, Splay |
Overview:
We’re bumping up $50 to the Head Oblivion 84, but we get a slightly different build in this ski with full vertical sidewalls from tip to tail. That gives the Oblivion a lot of torsional stiffness. Combine that with the extended sidecut shape and minimal rocker and you have a ski that’s both more torsionally stiff than anything we’ve looked at thus far, as well as more reactive and responsive. That makes it an excellent choice for a skier with more of a competition mindset. You don’t necessarily need to be competing, but you should at least ski and think in more of that style. Learning new tricks, pushing yourself as a skier, that's how we like to think about the Oblivion 84. On the other hand, it won’t be as “loose” as some of the skis we’re looking at. The shape of the Sight is a good example. The increased rocker and taper in that ski gives it easier edge release, but not as much precision, so it’s simply a matter of choosing which shape and feel matches your skiing style.
Who it's For:
Park skiers with a competition mindset who value precision, responsiveness, and a supportive ski for big landings.

Versatility, All-Mountain, Predictability |
Overview:
I think it’s been 5 years since the Revolt 95 was first announced, and while it hasn’t changed since then, it’s still a phenomenal ski. This is somewhat of an outlier compared to what we’ve looked at thus far. It’s wider and with more emphasis on all-mountain use and versatility than some of these narrower, more park-focused skis. Developed alongside Ahmet Dadali, the Revolt 95 feels at home hitting big jumps in the park, carving turns on groomers, hitting urban features, and even skiing soft snow and trees. It’s not a ski that’s chasing superlatives like “strongest” or “lightest.” Volkl intended this ski to be fun, versatile, and affordable, and they nailed it. We’ve consistently been impressed by how well it performs with such a simple build, and ultimately, there are a ton of skiers who would enjoy the Revolt 95.
Who it's For:
More than just park skiers! While it’s perfectly appropriate for someone who prefers a wider ski in the park, we’ve always recommended it as just a fun, versatile, affordable all-mountain ski. Pro Tip: If you’re skiing more all-mountain terrain, consider mounting the bindings a little further back. The recommended line is true center, but it skis better as a directional ski if you go 2-3 cm back from that.

Overview:
As a symmetrical twin with a penchant for true park and freestyle skiing, the Liberty Helix 88 is an awesome choice for competitors and pros who are looking to put their mark on the industry. The ski produces a sidecut of 118/88/118 and uses a blend of bamboo and poplar in the wood core to go along with carbon fiber stringers. It’s snappy, poppy, and energetic to the nth degree, and with a skier like Max Moffat behind the design and success, it’s no wonder the Helix 88 is a top-end park ski that loves to be pushed to the limit. While there aren’t too many all-mountain applications in this ski, it’s hard to find that much better of a ski for true park performance.

Overview:
Any time you’re putting a name like Tom Wallisch on a ski, you know you’re in for a good time. Line does a fantastic job taking the influence of TW and putting it into a well-built and sturdy twin with darn-near symmetrical shaping. With a cut of 118/90/116, the skis are just slightly on the directional side, but for the most part, the shape, combined with the symmetrical flex pattern and profile make for true two-way skiing and jumping. Built with a slightly thicker Maple Macroblock core than we see in the noodly Blend, the TW Pro is a bit snappier and also has a Carbon Ollieband to give the ski a touch more energy and pop for the really big tricks. For the metal skiing, the TW Pro has Line’s Fatty base and edge which provides more strength and durability for big-time disasters and ultra-long rail grinds.
Who it's For:
Mainly competitors and aspiring pros. You want something that has a solid reputation and the quality to stand up to rigorous skiing in the park and pipe.

Flotation, Versatility, Bumps and Trees |
Overview:
While the TW Pro and the Helix 88 fall more into the competition side of the twin tip spectrum, the Atomic Bent 90 is decidedly more freeride/all-mountain. This does not mean that they won’t ski park, but the benefits of soft snow, trees, bumps, and other varied conditions and terrain make the Bent 90 one of the more versatile skis on this list. Built with a poplar wood core and not much else, the Bent 90 is fairly simplistic in its build, but offers an incredible amount of performance and fun for a huge range of skiers. The addition of HRZN tech in the tips and tails makes it a phenomenal floater for its width, and the light weight adds to the exceptional quickness.
Who it's For:
Freeride-oriented skiers who do not want to lose out on park performance. You value maneuverability and agility both on-trail and off, and still want that twin tip aspect for multi-directional skiing and terrain park capabilities.

Overview:
The Head Oblivion 94 has an interesting mix of attributes. It’s wider, so it’s tough to deny the all-mountain acumen, but it’s also got some significant splay and flexibility in the tips and tails, so that makes it really shine as a park ski as well. More of a traditional build with this one—much like the 84 and 79—in that it has their sandwich Twintip construction, independent suspension system, and slight tip and tail rocker. Like the more freestyle-oriented skis in this list, we’re also seeing that longer turn radius, with the 177 generating a 21-meter arc, allowing the skier more flexibility as to the shape and duration of the turn, from carving off huge lips to ripping down straight bump lines or shifting through tight trees. We love the versatile and fun-loving nature of the well-built Oblivion 94 for sure.
Who it's For:
More of the all-mountain crowd looking for a more dramatic twin. Either that, or true park skiers who want a wider option for more stability and mass.

Overview:
Side note before getting started—is it wrong to love a ski for how it performs and then be so mad at it for having super-weird graphics at the same time? It’s not that the leopard print is bad, I don’t mind that at all, but the fact that the name and brand are on opposite sides of the ski is hard to swallow, especially with an asymmetrical ski like this. Anyway, rant over, the Poacher is awesome. At 96 mm underfoot and with a pretty sturdy feel, the Poacher has that freeride and all-mountain flair to it, but the fact that Colby Stevenson wins big-time events in slopestyle on this thing makes it all the more impressive. This is a rare ski in that you can ski it at the highest levels of freestyle competition, or exclusively as an all-mountain ski, and neither way is wrong.
Who it's For:
Pretty big range here—retirees who are looking for a sturdy ski to cruise all-mountain will love it, and so will the younger skiers looking to make their mark on the freestyle world.

Silence, Energy, Versatility |
Overview:
While the narrower Helix 88 is a true twin in the symmetrical sense, the wider Helix 98 carries a bit more versatility to its name. With dimensions of 133/98/121, this wider-bodied twin is equally at home in deeper and softer snow as it is in the park and pipe. While it may not be as agile or maneuverable as the narrower 88, it more than makes up for it in flotation and versatility. Built with the same blend of poplar, carbon, and bamboo, the Helix 98 also has a park-oriented profile that gives it a long effective edge and great energy and rebound out of the turn. This is good for both carving off of huge lips in the park as well as letting the skis run on a groomed surface in a carved turn.
Who it's For:
If you like that blend of bamboo and quietness, you’ll love the Helix 98. Fans of long camber will also find a lot to like in the smoothness and completeness of these great skis.

Overview:
Like the Revolt 95 from Volkl, the Line Chronic fits into this super-versatile twin tip category just right. We talk a lot about skis like the Salomon QST 92 in that if you don’t know what ski to get, get that one. Similar to that, the Line Chronic just fits a whole lot of different skier types and does so quite effectively. At 95 mm underfoot, it’s super-versatile and well-rounded, and when that’s combined with the Maple macroblock stringers in the aspen wood core, you’re getting a solid and stable ski that can do anything out there on the hill, from true park skiing to total all-mountain versatility. The Fatty base and edge combines well with the symmetrical flex to make it a great park ski, while the width and average 16-meter turn radius makes it a great option for on-trail activities as well.

Overview:
Like the Poacher, the Armada ARV 96 is one of the sturdier skis on the list, relying on a blend of poplar and ash in the core to do the heavy lifting. The density of the ash is what really makes the ARV stand out, putting it squarely in the all-mountain and freeride categories as well as park and pipe. You are going to miss out on a bit of the maneuverability, as these skis do tip the scales to the heavier side. If you can deal with that feeling, they’re fantastic park skis that have a strong and stable feeling to them for sure. Also capable of opening it up on the groomers, and great in the trees, the ARV 96 has really carved out a niche as a super choice for modern freeride skiers who mix tricks in with their daily skiing rituals.
Who it's For:
Pretty strong skiers who value stability and dampness over carbon-like spring and pop. You want something sturdy and predictable for varying conditions and terrain, including park and slopestyle.

Overview:
A great new ski from the creative skiers at Volkl, the Revolt 90 takes over for where the Revolt 87 left off in terms of symmetry and competitive park performance. With a new shape and design, the Revolt 90 features a light swing weight wood core that puts more material in the underfoot zones, with the thinner material in the tips and tails. This thinner profile at the ends lines up well with the tapered shape of the ski, which allows for easier smearing and buttering off of lips and jumps. The 180 produces a 21.5-meter turn radius and features measurements of 118-90-118 mm, so these skis are true twins from end to end.

Taper, Ground Work, Creativity |
Overview:
The taper shape of this ski really makes it stand out, and that’s all due to the press and pop preferences of Phil Casabon. The flexible tips and tails are straightened out, creating a unique taper—very spoony in both tips and tails—almost spatula-like in terms of how flat and long the ends of the skis are. At 94 mm underfoot, we’re getting some good mass here, built similarly to the ARV 96 in terms of blending poplar and ash for a great mix of dampness and energy. The fact that the taper is so pronounced and long, the ski ends up having a pretty short radius of 15-meters, so the energy in the pop phase of the turn is all there. If your style aligns with Phil’s, then the BDog is a great ski for you.

Overview:
For nearly a decade, the Armada Edollo has generally set the standard for park and freestyle performance in the most modern senses of the terms. Armada likes putting Ash wood stringers in their wood cores, and we’re all about it. Edollo separates from BDog mainly in terms of shaping. The Edollo features a 20.6-meter turn radius in the 180, so these skis are much straighter from tip to tail with less taper. It fits in with the skier, and the fact that Edollo is a bit stiffer overall gives it a more all-mountain and freeride flair to go along with the 98 mm waist. Sturdy, wide, and fun, the Edollo is capable in the park, pipe, rails, and beyond. With the thickest edges and bases available from Armada, Edollo is a bruiser out there on the metallic surfaces while remaining agile enough for smeary and slarvy ground work.

Overview:
Making a move from the pro-models back to the mainstream recreational ski world, the Black Crows Captis is much more like an every-person, every-day ski that functions well in a variety of conditions and terrain. Built with a poplar wood core and fiberglass laminate, the quality of the Black Crows construction shines through with Captis. At 90 mm underfoot, this is one of the better bump and tree skis I’ve been on due to the quickness, and on the groomers, it has fantastic snap and pop. While the splay and asymmetrical shape are a bit less than ideal for dedicated slopestyle performance, it’s still got it, so if you’re looking for park and pipe but with all-mountain capabilities, this is a fantastic choice.

Overview:
One of the most complete skis on this list, the Nordica Unleashed 98 occupies a very interesting zone. While it “replaces” the Soul Rider 97, it’s pretty darn different due to the more Santa Ana-like build. With that true metal laminate in the ski, it’s got great edge grip to go along with tremendous poise and energy. This does make it a bit stiffer and less playful, especially when compared to the more flexible skis on this list, but what it lacks in those areas, it more than makes up for it when it comes to off-piste and freeride performance. We love the cambered energy of the ski, and it makes a lot of sense when you think of blending the freestyle performance of Soul Rider with the all-mountain acumen of Santa Ana. A high-octane ski in every sense of the term, the Nordica Unleashed 98 was a tester and staff favorite last year for sure.

Overview:
We’ve loved this ski, and most of its iterations over the years, from way back in the Dynastar Slicer days to the modern Blackops 98. It’s impressive what these companies can do with a fairly simple build, putting a metal laminate underfoot to go along with rubber in the tips and tails to create a smooth and powerful feel in a playful and fun-loving shape. We’re seeing that longer turn radius in this ski and a bit heavier of a weight, but that makes a lot of sense for what this ski is designed for, and that’s not only park skiing, but also natural features. I think when we’re getting into these more freeride-oriented skis, that “mountain is your playground” mentality starts to shine through.
Who it's For:
Strong skiers who seek and session natural jumps on the hill and also spend time in park. The “real” jumps are their favorites, though.

Uniqueness, Short Turning, Creativity |
Overview:
The Mirus Cor is the likely winner of “weirdest ski on the wall” due to the short radius, lizard-tongue tail, and fairly symmetrical shape. Are we going to see the Mirus Cor pop up in Olympic slopestyle or X-Games any time soon? Probably not, but the fact that it does have that symmetry makes it an intriguing option for skiers looking to flex their creativity out there on the hill. We’re seeing a 13-meter turn radius and a titanal beam underfoot, so you’re getting a slalom-style turn to go along with more flexible and floaty tips and tails. Strange? Yes. Playful? You bet. The future of twin-tipped skis? Probably.
Who it's For:
Thrill seekers looking for something out of the box. You value creativity and uniqueness in your skis and ski style.
