DESCRIPTION

The 2026 DPS Kaizen 105 is a purpose-built freeride all-mountain ski with a progressive shape that confidently bridges the gap between playful powder performance and versatile all-mountain exploration. With a new design that combines elements of DPS’s RP and C2 chassis, the Kaizen 105 stands out for its stability, versatility, and directional precision.

Why we like it:

This ski feels equally at home making big, fast GS-style arcs or navigating tight trees with precision. It's rare to find a ski that delivers both high-speed hold and surfy float with this much poise.

Who it's for:

Advanced to expert skiers looking for a one-ski quiver with freeride chops and all-mountain backbone. Ideal for directional skiers who prioritize edge grip, control, and smooth turn transitions.

Highlights:

The Kaizen 105 features an 18-meter radius and extended effective edge, giving it excellent high-speed composure and stability through longer turns. Less rocker and taper compared to the Kaizen 100 or Lotus 117 mean more snow contact at the tip and tail, which translates into better edge engagement and floataion. A lightweight carbon, poplar, and ash build keeps it quick in the trees and efficient for bootpacking or hybrid touring setups.

Things to consider:

Compared to other skis in the DPS lineup, the Kaizen 105 favors a more directional, aggressive skiing style. Freeriders who prefer a looser, surfier feel in tight terrain or deep powder will want to look to the Koala line within the DPS family.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Skis true to size. With its blend of float and edge hold, most skiers can stick with their standard length. For more maneuverability in tight terrain, sizing down is a reasonable option, especially for lighter or finesse-oriented skiers.

Felt like a great all around ski, handled through whatever terrain I skied them on.

Seems very versatile.
Would try a shorter length. Blue isn’t my color.
Overal Impression
Fun ski. Was nice in the soft bumps. Held an edge at speed.
