Introducing the all-new 2025 Black Crows Corvus with Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings, now in the ski's fifth iteration and a binding to match it performance, you will be ready for anything. The redesigned Corvus continues to lead the Black Crows collection with fresh enhancements. This year’s model features tip and tail rocker, camber underfoot, and a thicker woodcore profile paired with a single titanal laminate. The result is a big mountain freeride ski that excels in both power and maneuverability, capable of handling any snow condition and terrain, whether within the resort or in the most challenging alpine zones. We paired the Corvus with the Tyrolia Attack 14 GW because of the Attack’s light weight, reliability, and ease-of-use for all mountain and freeride skiers. Additionally, ample elastic travel and direct power transmission function to ensure these bindings cater perfectly to the needs of demanding freeriders.
Why we like it:
The updated Corvus brings a more playful shape and character compared to previous versions, making it easier to use and more versatile. The addition of firm snow capabilities and the traditional rocker/camber/rocker profile means it caters to a broader range of skiers and conditions, enhancing its overall appeal.
Who it's for:
Advanced to expert skiers who require a big mountain ski that combines unique shaping and dependable performance. Aggressive skiers who enjoy charging and need a responsive, reactive ski will find the Corvus particularly well-suited to their needs.
Highlights:
The Corvus features a poplar and beech woodcore reinforced with fiberglass for enhanced stability and energy, particularly at high speeds and during quick direction changes. A single full titanal laminate provides excellent vibration dampening and torsional stiffness, ensuring high-speed control and strong edge grip on firm snow. The Attack 14 GW’s FR PRO3 Toe contains 30 mm of elastic travel which provides a smooth and confidence inspiring feel when tracking though variable snow while also recentering the boot to its neutral position extremely well to keep you locked in, acting almost like a suspension system. NX FR Heel pieces have 16 mm of elastic travel which assists in prevent false-releases. These heel pieces also make stepping into and out of bindings with ease, even in deep snow.
Things to consider:
While the Corvus offers a balanced mix of playfulness and dampness, skiers seeking maximum stiffness and stability may find other skis with additional metal and core density more robust. For those who want a ski that strikes a balance between a soft, playful ride and a super-damp charger, the Corvus hits the sweet spot.
Fit & sizing considerations:
Skis slightly short. The Corvus is forgiving when skied at a shorter length, so if you’re between sizes and prefer a more stable ski, consider sizing up. For greater quickness, maneuverability, and playfulness, size down if you’re between sizes.
