2025 Elan Playmaker 101 Skiswith Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings

Redesigned for 2025, the Elan Playmaker 101 with Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings has been refined rather than completely overhauled. At 101 mm underfoot, it offers remarkable versatility for freestyle skiers who want to express their playful and creative style across the mountain. The wood core and carbon core delivers continuous pop and energy while maintaining an incredibly light weight, ensuring you can keep playing all day long. We paired the 101 with the Tyrolia Attack 14 GW because of the Attack’s light weight, reliability, and ease-of-use for all mountain and freeride skiers. Additionally, ample elastic travel and direct power transmission function to ensure these bindings cater perfectly to the needs of demanding freeriders.

Why we like it:

The Playmaker 101 stands out with its energetic and highly playful nature. This versatile all-mountain freeride ski is designed to inspire creativity while remaining lightweight and agile.

Who it's for:

Intermediate to expert skiers seeking a lightweight freeride ski brimming with energy, pop, and responsiveness will find the 2025 Elan Playmaker 101 perfectly suited to their needs.

Highlights:

Featuring Elan’s Surf Rocker profile and Dual Float technology, the Playmaker 101 excels at smearing and slashing through pow. Elan’s Dual Float Technology maximizes flotation in soft snow, whether you're skiing switch or charging down the fall line. The Carbon Rods underfoot enhance stiffness and support, giving you the confidence to push your limits at speed. With a low stand height of just 17 millimeters, the 2027 Tyrolia Attack 14 offers an impressively close connection to the snow, delivering precise power transmission and a confident, locked-in feel. The FR Pro3 toe piece allows for a full 180 degrees of boot release, enhancing safety in a variety of fall scenarios, while the AFS (Anti-Friction Slider) ensures reliable re-centering and consistent release characteristics. Built to withstand hard use, the Attack 14 combines durability with performance, making it a go-to option for aggressive skiers who demand trust in their gear.

Things to consider:

The 2025 Playmaker 101 has a relatively soft flex, which may not provide the support that aggressive or heavier skiers are looking for. Lighter skiers, however, will benefit from the ski’s supple flex pattern.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The Playmaker 101 skis true to size.
