I felt like it was the right size. I would have like to mount it a bit closer to the center of the ski compared to the recommended set.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

This ski surprised me. I skied the Bent 90 last ski test and was not a big fan, I felt it was a little twiggy and unstable. The Bent 100 was a lot better, it had a great mix of being light and playful and still having good support. This may have been because I skied a longer length but I liked this ski.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

Still one of the most versatile skis out there. If you need one ski to do literally everything, it's hard to think of a better choice. It's stronger than you might think but the rocker, taper, and flex make it insanely maneuverable and intuitive. It has some decent carving performance but they are limited when it comes to firm and icy snow conditions. Powder and tree performance is through the roof here.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

Any and all terrains really, except for firm/icy slopes. The versatile feel of this ski allows you to take them anywhere and feel equiped to handle the terrain and conditions found there. They are never going to feel overwhelming so you can rip turns on trail just as well as surf through the trees. This also lends them to be a great ski for traveling as they can handle just about any conditions you may find yourself in.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Intermediate to expert. Intermediate skiers will not feel like these are too much ski while advanced and expert skiers are able to extract performance out of the ski in a lot of different ways.

I would say the Bent 100 skis just a little bit short. Not drastically so, but a little bit.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

The Bent 100 is a great ski. You can do a lot of different things on it, and it's always a lot of fun to ski. It does have some limitations when it comes to stability or edge grip, but that's not really its purpose. I do think it has more competitors in recent years. It used to feel so easy to just choose the Bent 100. It was obvious. Still a great contender, but other brands have comparable skis at similar prices now, which is great for the ski world in general.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

Trees, terrain park, fresh snow, things like that are the sweet spot for the Bent 100. It's gotta still be one of the best New England tree skis. If you're buying it intending to use it on groomers mostly, that's where you could end up disappointed. It's not completely useless on a groomer, it can carve, but I always hear from bigger skiers who push right through it. At my weight, it has some substance, but good to keep in mind that you can push it outside its comfort zone.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Its width makes it not an ideal choice for a beginner, but intermediates will handle the Bent 100 just fine. Like I mentioned, a heavier, powerful expert skier might not find it enough for them, but those skiers should already have a good sense of what they want.

If you could change anything about these skis, what would you change and why?

I think the Bent 100 is great and it's still relatively unique in its category, so I wouldn't change it.
