DESCRIPTION

The 2027 DPS Pisteworks 94 is the all-mountain leaning member of DPS's carving line, pairing the same full-carbon construction and Carbon Power Plate as the rest of the family with a wider waist and a longer turn radius. It's built for skiers who spend most of their day on groomers but want the freedom to wander when conditions call for it.

Why we like it:

The longer turn radius is what really sets this ski apart from the narrower Pisteworks options. You can roll it on edge for medium and long arcs at speed in a way that the 79 just doesn't allow, and that opens up a much wider variety of turn shapes on the hill.

Who it's for:

Advanced and expert all-mountain skiers who lean frontside but want a versatile daily driver. Great for skiers in firmer-snow regions who want carving authority on groomers and the ability to handle off-trail when they find it.

Highlights:

The Pisteworks 94 shares the family's high-modulus full carbon laminates, Patented Dual Layer Wood Core in poplar and red oak, and Carbon Power Plate underfoot. What it does differently is the shape, with a wider tip and tail and a longer turn radius that opens up the ski's range. You can engage the edge at speed and let the ski run through bigger arcs, or shorten it up into quicker slalom-style carves when you want them. The wider waist also gives it real off-trail capability, so when you cut into a side stash or a leftover patch of soft snow, the ski doesn't get hung up. Rockwell 48 steel edges and a World Cup Race Base with factory Phantom Glide round it all out.

Things to consider:

This is still a frontside-leaning ski, not a true all-mountain tool. The minimal rocker profile and grippy edge feel are tuned for hard snow, and the ski isn't going to float or slash like a wider all-mountain ski with more rocker.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Skis true to size. If you're between sizes, size up if you want more stability at speed in long turns, or size down for tighter handling.
