2027 Head Kore 106 TI Skis
SKU 315426Soft snow and variable conditions are where the Head Kore 106 TI does its best work. This is a freeride-leaning all-mountain ski with a karuba and beech core, two titanal layers, and a long rockered profile that combine to deliver float, stability, and edge grip across a wider range of conditions than its waist width might suggest.
Why we like it:
The 106 is one of those skis that punches above its width class. The karuba and beech core mix keeps it light and lively, while the titanal layers add the kind of stability that makes it feel much more composed at speed than its weight on the scale would lead you to expect.
Who it's for:
Wider-bodied daily-driver skiing for advanced skiers in deeper-snow regions. Ideal for skiers who want one ski for powder days, chopped-up afternoons, and the occasional groomer cruise, especially out West or anywhere fresh snow is regularly on the menu.
Highlights:
Karuba and beech in the core give a balanced ride: the karuba trims weight and the beech adds stability and edge grip. Two layers of titanal sandwich the core for damping and torsional stiffness, and Graphene reinforcement adds strength without bulk. The Freeride Sandwich Cap Construction is the Kore line's signature build, balancing sandwich-style responsiveness with a slightly more forgiving cap feel. A structured UHM C base smooths out glide across mixed snow, and a long rockered profile pairs camber underfoot with a low-rise tip and tail for float when you need it. Up top, the flax-inlaid Hybrid Top Surface keeps the swing weight down and adds a quieter feel through chatter.
Things to consider:
This is a soft-snow-leaning ski, so it's not the strongest choice for skiers whose home mountain is mostly groomers. The narrower Kore 100 TI is a better one-ski-quiver pick for mixed conditions, and the Kore 112 TI is the call if you want even more float.
Fit & sizing considerations:
Standard sizing applies. Pick what you usually ride; drop a length for tighter big-mountain lines, bump up a length for added stability and float.
