DESCRIPTION

Soft snow and creative skiing are what the Head Oblivion 102 was built for. A Carbon Sandwich Twintip Construction, PET-Wood Core, and TNT Rocker profile add up to a versatile freeride ski that floats in fresh snow, holds up to switch landings, and stays playful pretty much everywhere in between.

Why we like it:

The recycled PET stringers in the core do a lot of quiet work. They keep the ski lightweight, add a damped feel that absorbs hard landings, and bring a real environmental angle to the build without compromising performance. It's a freeski with substance behind the marketing.

Who it's for:

Strong freeskiers who want a wider playful platform for soft snow, side hits, and creative all-mountain skiing. Great for skiers who like to mix powder laps with park-style tricks and switch riding throughout the day.

Highlights:

The PET-Wood Core uses poplar with recycled PET bottle stringers, a lightweight and low-impact construction that doesn't sacrifice performance. Carbon layers throughout the Sandwich Twintip build add stability and saved weight where it counts. The Highly Transparent UHM Base is structured and durable, and Tuff-Wall and Tuff-Edge protection adds longevity in the kind of skiing that this ski invites: drops, switch landings, rail hits. The Independent Suspension System (ISS) damps the ski selectively across its length so that the contact points stay quiet while the rest of the ski can still flex naturally. TNT Rocker is a playful twin-tip profile with plenty of tip and tail rocker for float and pivot.

Things to consider:

Not a directional carving ski, so skiers chasing groomer-focused performance should look elsewhere. The Oblivion 116 is the bigger, more powder-focused sibling, while the Oblivion 94 and Oblivion 84 step things narrower for skiers who want a more all-mountain-balanced freeride feel.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Pick the length that fits your skiing style. Come down a size for more agility in the park or trees, go up for added float and stability.
