2027 Volkl Revolt 101 Skis
SKU V2610155The Volkl Revolt 101 takes the directional big-mountain personality of the Revolt 114 and packs it into a narrower, more everyday footprint. This is not a freestyle twin; it's a charge-forward freeride ski built for steeps, technical terrain, and variable snow, with a tapered, rockered shape and a poplar and beech wood core that loves to be driven hard.
Why we like it:
It's a genuinely special ski for how hard it carves and charges at this width, a directional weapon that surfs when you ask it to but really wants to rip high-speed lines through any snow. The poplar and beech core, with beech toward the edges, gives it serious grip and stability for a ski in the hundred-millimeter range.
Who it's for:
Advanced and expert skiers who want a directional, do-it-all freeride ski for steeps, chop, and technical terrain at speed. Best for aggressive skiers who drive the ski forward rather than ride switch or chase park features.
Highlights:
Built off the Revolt 114 platform but narrower, the 101 is the other directional outlier in the line, a multilayer poplar and beech wood core with more beech worked toward the edges for grip and carving power and lighter poplar through the center. Pressed in a sandwich build with full sidewalls, it's far chargier than its twin-tip siblings. The 3D Radius sidecut pairs a long tip radius for stability with a tighter underfoot radius and an open tail, while a tapered, rockered shape keeps the tips afloat in soft snow and composed in chop. Camber underfoot makes this the Revolt that most wants to lay down high-speed carves through, over, and around any type of snow.
Things to consider:
The Revolt 101 is a directional charger, not a creative twin. It doesn't offer the switch-friendly playfulness of the twin-tip Revolts, and it takes more effort to slash sideways and bring back around. Skiers after a forgiving, playful park-and-mountain ride should look elsewhere in the line.
Fit & sizing considerations:
Sizes true to length. Pick your usual size, or size up for more stability and float when you're charging bigger terrain.
