The K2 Broadcast is a fantastic option for intermediate to advanced riders who are on the cusp of making it to the next level. This board is ideal if you are progressing, but have not yet mastered either cleanly carved turns or floaty freeride though powder and more advanced conditions and terrain. If you’re an aspiring freerider and are looking to spend most of your time split between resort groomers, trees, and explorative riding, then the Broadcast is a friendly and fun board that checks all of those boxes.

Built with K2’s BAP core consisting of Bamboo, Aspen, and Paulownia, the Broadcast has a great mix of energy, stability, and durability that makes a lot of sense for most riders out there on the hill. The paulownia lightens the load and adds a good deal of energy to the combination while the Aspen is smooth, powerful, and stable. The Bamboo really takes the edge off the whole thing, as it has a tremendous ability to absorb vibrations and keep things quiet and predictable. K2 also uses their ICG 10 Carbon Fiberglass Laminate. By stringing carbon strips vertically with the glass, they’re able to add a ton of longitudinal stiffness while keeping the lateral flex more on the fun side of the spectrum.

With camber underfoot, Broadcast uses rocker in the tip and the tail to make it floatier, driftier, and more playful. This works really well, and the fact that the shovel rocker is longer than in the tail makes the directional nature of the Broadcast stand out from a crowded field. It’s low and surfy rocker that’ll stay afloat no matter how deep the snow may be. Other than that, it’s a fairly traditional shape with rounded and curved tips and tails that cut through the crud and chop while remaining nice and easy to use.

There’s a whole lot of riders out there who would benefit from a mid-range board with a high-end feel like the K2 Broadcast. Intermediates all the way through experts will love the composure, confidence, and poise of the board, making the journey from top to bottom one to remember, time after time.
