The Ride Berzerker is a great option for advanced and expert riders who fall more on the aggressive side of the spectrum. It’s built and shaped for all-mountain riding with a focus on groomers and powder. Thanks to the tapered directional shape and the extra camber underfoot, the Berzerker gets a ton of snap and pop from the built-in energy of the camber, but the construction has a whole lot to do with it as well. Built with a performance core, Carbon Slimerods 2.0, Carbon Array 3, and Hybrid Glass laminates, this board has a whole lot of additional benefits going on that make it one of the quicker and more agile rides in the category. By placing 3 carbon stringers each in a diagonal format, the Berzerker gets more torsionally stiff without jeopardizing the playfulness or smeariness of the board. The Carbon rods in the tail boost the pop out of the back of the board, making it feel like a much more upscale model.

On the 159, David Lombardi found it true to size, scoring it 4’s out of 5 for overall impression, torsional stiffness, edge hold, playfulness, quickness, maneuverability, and stability. He gave 3’s for versatility, forgiveness, and flotation. Dave calls it an “Excellent all-mountain board. Fast and charging. Stable with great edge hold. Awesome on steep icy or groomed trails but feel it would be great in a foot of powder too. I would recommend it to intermediate and advanced riders.” The range is nice to point out here, as the Berzerker covers both the fast and floaty parts of the spectrum. Maxx Connolly was also on the 159 and found it to be a good size. He scored it 4’s out of 5 for stability, torsional stiffness, edge hold, and versatility. Maxx states that “I didn't get a great feel for this board with it being bigger than I prefer. I also think it's meant for bigger and better conditions than what we have. Feels like it wants to have an experienced, aggressive rider controlling it versus someone just cruising around. This board would really shine in big mountain terrain.” Some boards just like to run, and that’s a big part of fun rides like the Berzerker.
Dave Marryat found his 159 to be on the stiff side, giving it a 1 out of 5 for forgiveness and 5’s out of 5 for torsional stiffness, edge grip, and stability. These types of scores reflect a pretty aggressive ride, and the 4’s out of 5 for overall impression, quickness, and maneuverability reflect well on the Berzerker’s range and well-roundedness. Dave notes that the Berzerker is “Jake Blauvelt's pro model. Do you ride like Jake? Mere mortals will not find the speed limit of this board. Fast, stiff and aggressive. Lays trenches with the right driver. Expert level rider board who wants to push hard every lap.” While not everyone can live up to those lofty expectations, it is nice to see that the board is at least accessible for expert riders.
With extra camber built in, and the carbon stringers and rods, the energy and stiffness of the board, especially in the tail, makes a lot of sense for a lot of riders. If you’re on the aggressive side of the spectrum and love riding pow as much as you love laying trenches on the groomers, the Ride Berzerker is going to be a great board to dive deeper into.
