As the centerpiece in Armada’s women’s freestyle series, the ARW 94 is back to dominate the 2025 season with a new wood core and updated graphics. Stealing the show last year, this ski was new on the scene and proved itself both in the park, as well as in the bumps, trees and groomers. Built with a lightweight core, Armada strived to achieve a balance between playfulness and durability, targeting creative skiers who like to turn the whole mountain into their playground. With an all-mountain profile and freestyle-inspired personality, the soft, bendy flex pattern gives way to energetic responsiveness and strength where you need it. Bringing plentiful versatility to the table, the ARW 94 is light and poppy in tight terrain while maintaining enough stiffness for groomer performance. A true do-it-all ski for freestyle focused skiers, the world is your oyster with the ARW 94.

Without making major changes to the successful ARW recipe, Armada simply swapped out caruba for poplar, maintaining the lightweight responsiveness while providing a stouter feel. A consistent, forgiving flex throughout, Armada adds strength and stability underfoot through the use of an ash insert, promoting binding retention as well. Topping it all off, the construction technology that received the most attention this past year, Armada’s very own w3dgewall technology is incorporated once again. This approach angles the sidewall into the wood core, using friction to form a mechanical bond between the two, pushing them together upon impact rather than apart. Enhancing the durability tenfold, Armada also uses 2.5 mm impact edges to withstand rails and boxes. All in all, this ARW 94 is still playful as ever, but seems to carve better at speed and hold up to the demands of hard impacts in the park.
The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2025 Armada ARW 94As far as the shape and profile, the 2024 model carries over, with a nearly symmetrical shape, early taper, and 94 mm waist width. With slightly more width in the tips, we don't reach full twin tip status, but we get measurements of 122/94/117 in the 171 cm length. This shape allows for energetic release from the tail and smooth turn initiation, making them ideal for bumps and tight trees. The early taper comes into play in many ways. In the park, it provides a catch-free feel on takeoffs and landings going both switch and normal. It also shortens the arc a bit, balancing out the 16.5-meter turn radius and allowing for a variety of turn shapes. Capable of skiing a bit of everything with style and ease, Megan Papineau found it to be “my favorite ski and it was a great day to test it with a mix of soft powder, heavy chunder and blue ice the ski was reliable in all conditions”.
Incredibly versatile, playful, and responsive, the Armada ARW 94 is an approachable ski for intermediate to advanced level skiers who like a mid-90s twin tip with all mountain capabilities. Whether you have a solid skillset under your feet or looking for an introduction to the freestyle realm, less experienced skiers can access this ski with ease while more advanced skiers can put it to the test and benefit greatly.
