The 2025 Atomic Cloud Q9 is a true joy to ski. Easy to turn, great energy, and impressive carving capabilities. Returning unchanged from last year, progressing beginners to intermediates will reap the benefits of this highly approachable, strong performing ski. Atomic’s long standing race heritage filters into this ski, with advanced technology that provides a strong yet accessible feel that will work with a number of different skiers. High quality doesn’t necessarily mean highly skilled and in this case, skiers looking to enhance their skills and technique luck out.

Atomic lays the foundation with a blend of light wood and densolite, which provides a sturdy, strong feeling. These specific materials work well together by keeping the weight down while also delivering stability and energy. It is especially noticeable when engaging in a carved turn as it has a quick, agile feel to it. In order to maximize edge grip, dura cap sidewalls are incorporated, creating a phenomenal ski-to-snow contact directly underfoot. This also allows the tip and tail to remain more maneuverable, giving it a soft flex in the extremities while maintaining strength and power where needed most. Relatively simple build here but when combined with the shape, the result portrays a much more refined design.
The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2025 Atomic Cloud Q9As for the shape, the 100% camber profile puts this ski squarely into the frontside category. At 75 mm underfoot, this waist width is ideal for on-piste terrain. It’s also a nice width for beginners looking to gain comfort angling their turns and finding balance on more surface area. Bookended by 119.5 mm in the tip and 103 mm in the tail, we do see some versatile capabilities here given the wider shovel. Since the groomers don’t always stay fresh corduroy all day, it’s nice to have that shape for when the snow conditions change. Generating a 13.5-meter turn radius in the 154 cm length, this is perfect for making short, round turns but nothing super slalom-esque. Perfect for skiers looking for confidence in a carved turn, this friendly shape is ideal.
If you’re looking to take the next step up this season, the Atomic Cloud Q9 is an efficient, sensible ski. Easy to approach and gain confidence on, the solid build and frontside nature lends itself to fun, progressive skiing. A brand that you can rely on as far as performance-based designs, the Cloud Q9 is going to appeal to a wide range of skiers who want to enhance their technique on-piste and have fun while doing so.
