The DPS Wailer 90 represents the narrowest ski in the Wailer line, allowing for quick turns, easy use, and a high-end feel. This ski fits right in the middle of the all-mountain line and uses DPS’s hybrid carbon construction to gain energy and pep without losing stability. Best for intermediate and advanced skiers who spend their time in between on and off-trail activities, the Wailer 90 functions well in various conditions, terrain, and turn styles. There’s a bit of a price here, as the carbon and made in USA tag adds some dollars to the bottom line.

When it comes to construction, the Wailer 90 focuses on hybrid carbon construction to power and spur the ski to energy. We get a full poplar wood core in this ski with carbon stringers on top and bottom of the core. The ski uses a binding enforcement underfoot but overall is made mostly of poplar wood and carbon stringers. In the 179, we see a stated weight of 1880 g/ski and that’s right about the heavier side for a ski without metal, showing a woody feel and a carbon zip. The skis aren’t too stiff, and have a nice and even flex pattern.
The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2026 DPS Wailer 90The shape and profile of the skis are quite dramatic and indicative of the company’s commitment to skiing differently and offering floaty and drifty performance in softer snow and nice poppy energy on groomers and on-piste situations. The sidecut measurements of 119/90/106 mm in the 179 cm length creates a paltry 15-meter turn radius, making these some of the most agile carvers out there at any width. You’re getting great slalom-like performance here but the taper shape and rocker profile create a floaty and smeary ski in softer snow. Overall, the shape and profile of these skis allow for creative skiing with a high level of energy.
While the skis come with a steep price point, they have the performance and innovation to back it up. We love the short turning character here and the fact that it is likely the best floating 90 mm ski out there in the industry today. Big credit goes to DPS for continuing to make precise, capable, and fun all-mountain skis with powder influence—there's truly nothing else like them.
