The 2026 Fischer Curv GTX is a wider-bodied frontside ski that feels a lot like a race ski, just for mortal skiers. While there’s certainly an aggressive and expert skier component here, it’s tough to argue that these skis are also appealing to progressing intermediates and early advanced skiers. While burly and turny, they do a nice job of being slightly more amenable to various turn shapes and styles as well as offering a wider platform to stand on for when the conditions degrade throughout the day.

Buit with a blend of beech and poplar in the wood core, the Curv GTX also gets .8 mm titanal laminates for power, diagocarbon for energy, and carbon Bridge for torsional stiffness. Overall, this is a hearty ski, but it still manages to be on the accessible side. The use of carbon underfoot adds another level of strength since there’s already a system binding track there. As a result, edge grip underfoot is otherworldly, offering a new level of confidence that’s tough to match in any type of race ski these days.
The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2026 Fischer The Curv GTXAt 76 mm underfoot, these skis have a wider platform than most dedicated front side skis but the overall footprint is 100% out of the race catalog. Whether you’re looking for more surface area for increased smoothness or if you simply prefer a wider-bodied carving ski, the GTX is a helpful shape for carving clean and round arcs. While smooth groomers are clearly the focus here, there’s no denying that if those trails get chopped up by midday, you need a bit of power to get to the bottom—that's where the GTX and its 76 mm waist comes in handy. The 125 mm tip and 109 mm tail produce a 16-meter arc in the 175 cm length which is a sweet mid-radius to be involved with. You can make both slalom and GS turns with ease as well as letting it run due to the triple radius sidecut. There’s no taper or rocker to talk about here, these are true tip to tail skis with a long and smooth effective edge.
