Steve Sulin Ski Tester Profile Image

Steve Sulin

Steve Sulin is one of the most knowledgeable people regarding skis you will ever meet. Steve is the store manager at our brick and mortar sister store, Pinnacle Ski and Sports. Steve spends a lot of time testing skis throughout the season and arguably has more experience on 2018 skis than any of our other testers. His feedback is always extremely valuable and he can often compare a ski to the rest of the category it lies in more thoroughly than anyone else. His skiing is very smooth and deliberate, and you’ll typically find him arcing perfect GS turns down groomed slopes, which he does with a level of finesse that few skiers match. If you’re in the Stowe area, poke your head into Pinnacle and say hi to Steve!

    1. Hey Jim!

Steve managers our physical store, Pinnacle Ski and Sports. I’ve sent him an email to see if he can chime in on his boot selection!

  1. I have a question for Steve Sulin as we are of similar size and weight. I have raced and instructed and ski at an advanced to expert level and maybe from instinct ski with more of a technique from 25 years ago throwing all 240 lbs onto the outside ski in hard turns. I am curious as I am skiing on a set Elan amphibios with I think a 14.6 radius and find that when I jump on the ski I can rip a turn a turn in less than 10 feet. Would I be better suited to a gs ski as my weight and power would likely make it possible to crank a pretty tight turn on a gs ski, and I might not have to fell like I am leting up all the time to make an average turn.
