Swervy, smeary, and slarvy, the Ride Twin Pig is a fantastic example of a park board done right. The nice thing about it is that it does other things, too, and that’s a huge bonus for riders who love park, but also want to ride all-mountain and not give up anything in terms of performance. Built with Ride’s Performance Core, the board also has Hybrid Glass to add pop and snap to the mix. Slim walls make it approachable for emerging freestylers, while more advanced riders will still find enough challenge, even though it’s marketed more towards mellow riding. Standard Camber is found in the middle of the board, and this adds to the grip and groomer performance while the rocker in the tips and tails make it float quite well for the application. As a result of the symmetry in the tip and tail width, the board rides well both ways, while the sidecut makes for a bit more of a directional mentality. If you’re headed to the mountain and want to have some serious fun, grab the Twin Pig and you’ll be stoked all day long.

Kayla Bates rode the 151 and noted that it was just a bit long for her, but still found a lot to like, and it shows in her scores. She gave the Twin Pig 5’s out of 5 for overall impression, forgiveness, stability, and flotation. Versatility, torsional stiffness, edge hold, playfulness, quickness, and maneuverability all got 4’s, showing a high-end performance and well-rounded nature to the board. Kayla calls it a “Super fun, playful, floaty, wide board. I felt comfortable and confident on this!” Confidence is huge, because if you don’t feel right with your feet on the board, strong performance is going to be a lot harder to come by.
On the shorter 148, Anthony Palermo calls it “short but just right.” That’s an interesting take. Regardless, Anthony was pretty high on the Twin Pig, scoring it 5’s out of 5 in all categories. Anthony calls it the “best do-it-all board. It’s stiffer, but likes to get around in all conditions and terrain.” It’s always interesting when a strong and technical rider like Anthony finds something a bit different about a board, and it makes a lot of sense when you see his consistently high scores. There’s a lot to like about the Ride Twin Pig, and it doesn’t just stop at the park.
Freestyle, freeride, and all-mountain can easily go hand-in-hand, and that is definitely true when it comes to the Twin Pig. Riders of varying levels and styles will all get along just fine with the Twin Pig, as it’s quite amenable to a broad range of applications, terrain, and snow conditions.
