If there is one brand to trust in the snowboard industry, it’s Rossignol. Continuing to produce top of the line boards year after year, quality and performance will always be their main priority. With the 2023 Rossignol One board, riders can comfortably rely on just that- one board. Basing technologies and performance off of the highest of standards, this board is designed for all-mountain performance and versatility while boasting a brand-new shape. Falling into a category of its own, the One board features Amptek All Mountain Rocker, with a 60/40 blend of rocker/camber. The reason for this is to provide strong edge grip underfoot yet with plenty of float for those deeper days. The moderately stiff flex of 7/10 combined with the serrated edge tech takes stability and responsiveness to the next level, leaving you feeling confident and stable on firmer conditions. Speaking of those less-than-ideal days, thanks to the Lite Frame Technology, you receive total shock absorption, making crud and variable conditions more than manageable, if not enjoyable! For total mountain domination, the Rossignol One has got your covered.

Eric McDonough tested the 159 in length and had several comments to make about it. First off, he found it to be very manageable for someone who is 5’3”. Normally on a 150 cm range, he was surprised by the fact that he had no issues on a longer board. With that in mind, he suggests sizing up on the Rossignol One. Looking at his scores, we see a mix of 3’s and 4’s scattered about, with the higher of the two going to stability, maneuverability, torsional stiffness, versatility and overall impression. That just about covers the majority of the categories, leaving flotation, playfulness and forgiveness earning a 3. This adds up given the fact that this board has a moderately stiff flex and is geared towards more advanced riders looking for high performance. He noted “The moderate camber profile gave it plenty of stability and edge hold at higher speeds without sacrificing maneuverability. The rocker profile starts at the bindings bringing your contact point in and making it pretty playful and easy to turn. The decent amount of rocker also gives it plenty of float in deeper snow. This would be a pretty versatile option for beginner riders all the way up to advanced.”
Tim Sulin took a few runs on the 156 in length, giving us the chance to hear about the slightly shorter board. Another positive take on the Rossignol One board, with Tim’s scores ranging between 4 and 5. Where he found this board to shine was in stability, playfulness, versatility and overall impression, earning 5/5. The rest of the categories received a 4, which is still pretty high and shows the well-rounded nature of this board. Pretty similar scores given for the same categories for Tim and Eric, once again proving the highest of standards for this Rossignol board. Tim found it to be a “fun board, great edge hold, nice pop, quick edge to edge. Great every day board.” We sure love it when a snowboard receives the “every day board” award!
The Rossignol One is truly in a league of its own, thanks to the top-quality innovation that went into the design and shape. Leaving riders feeling confident and stable, regardless of terrain, continues to be a takeaway with this board. With enough pop and play for effortless float yet strong and powerful edge grip and responsiveness, the One is sure to become a part of your quiver.
