The 2023 Rossignol Resurgence Snowboard is the perfect choice for riders who want a confidence-inspiring board that can handle all-mountain and park riding with versatility and reliability. Boasting a dynamic blend of stability and carvability, riders will gain confidence in the trees, powder, park, and groomers while building skills and technique along the way. The directional shape and medium flex allow for effortless turn initiation and lively responsiveness, while the hybrid camber is catch-free at the tips and grips in the midsection. For the sake of maneuverability and agility, the wood CFB1 core reduces weight without reducing overall strength and is reinforced with Basalt and Kevlar for added stability. Taking it one step further, the Resurgence features serrated edges to maximize edge control even on the iciest and firmest conditions. This is truly an all-mountain board with a range of capabilities, ensuring effortless maneuverability and precision for unbeatable performance.

For Eric Gagnon and Maxx Connolly, the 159 in length felt a little too long. As a result, scores in playfulness and forgiveness were lower than the rest, earning a 3/5. For Eric, all other categories earned 4’s, showing his well-rounded experience on the Resurgence. He mentioned “I would love to try this board in a 154 in length. It felt good and was responsive but was just too large for me.” As we see with many of our testers, when they’re on the wrong size, their impression of a board can be negatively affected. However, we did still see a relatively high score across the board for Eric so it wasn’t all bad! Maxx found “this board was fun to ride after reigning it in. It was a little wild at first but ended up really enjoying it. Probably even more fun if it was a little shorter. I’d recommend it to more advanced riders. Would like having this in the quiver but not as my everyday board.” He dished out 4’s for flotation and stability with 3’s for maneuverability, playfulness, forgiveness, torsional stiffness and overall impression. Based on his review, it sounds like on the right rider in the right conditions, you can really have a lot of fun on this board.
On the 156, David Marryat found it to be a bit short and would have preferred a longer size. While this may have affected a few categories, it certainly didn’t hurt playfulness, forgiveness or versatility, with 4’s out of 5 awarded in each. With 3’s given for every other category, his overall impression was “a great board for the rider looking to build their skill set but isn’t sure what they want to do. Board will do a little bit of everything. Rocker camber combo gives good flex and decent edge hold as well. An expert rider will push beyond its capability of edge hold and stability. Intermediate level riders should look to the resurgence as an upgrade.” It seems as though, based on his review, David may have pushed beyond this board’s capability, which in turn lead to some lower scores. While he may find himself enjoying another board more, it sure is helpful to hear the intended audience for a given board, ensuring it is put into the right hands for optimal performance.
For intermediate riders looking for a do-it-all board with confidence-building qualities and high-performance, the Rossignol Resurgence is bound to take you to the next level. Combining stability, versatility and maneuverability, you get a taste of everything across various terrain and conditions. Whether you’re wiggling through tight trees or ripping fast groomers, the Resurgence will have your back.
