With a name like Sawblade, it comes as no surprise that Rossignol designated this board with such a title. The 2023 Rossignol Sawblade is the perfect choice for anyone looking for an easy-to-use, playful board that offers great edge grip and stability. With a softer flex pattern from tip to tail, the Sawblade is easy to initiate turns with and provides a smooth ride. It also features Amptek Auto Turn Rocker, incorporating 80/20 rocker/camber for effortless maneuverability and playfulness. While it is approachable and user-friendly, it is also highly technical and fierce. The serrated edges and Radcut Turn Technology enhance strength and power, allowing you to go from playful turns to deep, aggressive slashes through groomers and dynamic energy from edge to edge. Offering three points of contact for improved stability and grip, you eliminate the risk of catching an edge, giving you maximum confidence and reliability for any and all types of conditions. Whether you're cruising around the mountain or hitting the park, the Sawblade is the perfect board for intermediate to advanced riders.

PREFERRED TERRAIN
All Mountain, Groomers, Powder

On the 155 in length, Eric Gagnon found that he would most likely size up if he were to ride this board on a regular basis. With a wide array of scores, we see 2’s in stability and torsional stiffness, which can sometimes go hand in hand and certainly makes sense with a flex rating of 4. With a 5/5 for playfulness and 4 for flotation, it sounds like the Sawblade has an easier time in softer snow. Eric commented “Very soft, would be a fun park board but did not do so well in the variable conditions at Stowe.” Like we always say, we unfortunately cannot request our ideal conditions for the snowboard test and are given the hand that we are dealt. While the Sawblade may not have performed its best in the variable conditions at Stowe, we now know where its strengths lie and can hopefully hop on this board on a powder day.

Anthony also tested the 155 and noted that it was true to size. With a brief overview, he found it to be “playful and liked to pop.” Backing up this impression, he awarded a 5/5 for playfulness and 4/5 for maneuverability. This again goes to show that the Sawblade clearly knows how to have fun and provide a playful, nimble ride. That said, Anthony apparently found some weaknesses, giving 2s out for flotation, stability, torsional stiffness, and versatility. While this board may not be his favorite in a handful of ways, he does know what it is good for and we love it when our testers can look past where it lacks and focus on the positives!

The Rossignol Sawblade offers freeride fanatics a twin tip shape with a soft flex and playful rocker/camber profile, turning the entire mountain into a personal playground. Approachable and maneuverable, riders will love the intuitive nature of the Sawblade, having the ability to flex and pop without sacrificing reliable stability.
