An exciting new addition to the Liberty women’s ski line, the Scope 94 W is fresh on the scene for the 2025 season. As part of a companywide revamp, we’re seeing Liberty skis undergo significant changes, from materials to molds, with everything taking on a new persona. As a result of this, two entirely new skis are being introduced this year, with the Scope model being one of them. The same ski as the men’s version, there is only one width option available compared to four for the men. An ideal spot to be for all-mountain performance, the 94 W offers fantastic versatility and impressive edge grip, with lightweight maneuverability for off-piste terrain. While stronger carvers and more playful performers certainly exist within this mid-90s category, the Scope 94 W finds a nice balance to deliver playfulness and stability with freestyle flair.

Where we used to see bamboo as one of the main ingredients in Liberty production, it is now being replaced by a mix of ash and poplar. An interesting departure from their signature construction element, with ash contributing to strength in the ski and poplar providing lightweight energy, the combination suits the overall character. A good balance of strength and weight, the ash wood is applied in thin layers of stringers, leaving the poplar to do most of the work. Underfoot, Phenolic Composite plates are used to stiffen the mid-section of the ski. Positioned horizontally, they serve as both binding retention, as well as increased underfoot stiffness and responsiveness. Keeping the ride smooth and consistent, high-carbon race bases keep the ski gliding nicely, even in untracked conditions. As far as where it performs best, Tester Allison Ruschp found them to be best on “groomed to slight off piste - softer snow conditions.”

The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2025 Liberty Scope 94 W

The shaping approach for the Scope 94 W leans into the freestyle arena while staying pretty firmly in the all-mountain department. At 94 mm underfoot, versatility is off the charts, with a good amount of surface area for soft snow conditions, especially when you factor in the shape. Still narrow enough for on-piste stability and edge grip, the energetic camber underfoot is matched with early taper and decent rocker to invite playful maneuverability as well. With a shape like this, it's best to stay centered on the ski so as to reap the most benefits. Though not perfectly symmetrical, its close enough that it performs well in the park, as well as in the bumps and trees.

The brand-new Liberty Scope 94 W is designed for intermediate to advanced level skiers who value quickness and energy but with reliable strength for on-piste performance. Not too serious and not too loose, this happy medium promotes a fun-loving demeanor that encourages all-mountain versatility in a daily capacity.

Overal Impression
Not the right ski for me or the day, I think the tips were a little grabby which is due to the tune not the ski. Love the remodel, new name and fresh top sheet make it more approachable than years past.
